Guest guest
Hi , I live in Versailles, KY which is about 1.5 hrs. south of Cincinnati. It really only gets humid hear in the summer. I started brewing Kombucha last summer and have had no problems with mold. In fact, all of my brews (up to 16 now) have done very well. I suppose if you live near the river (Ohio) in Cincinnati it could be more humid than away from it, but I don't know for sure. Anyway, if you move there, welcome to the area in advance. Let me know if I can be of any help. Pat CM Ross wrote: >Hello, > >I have been thinking of moving to Cincinnati, Ohio. Does anyone on the list live there and brew kombucha? The reason that I ask is that I live close to the ocean, and the airborne mold here is horrendous - ruins the brew. I've heard that Cinci is humid, too. Is that true? > > > >
Guest guest
Hi Pat, Actually, you can be of help to me: I need to know - is there a nuclear power plant near you? I am a cancer survivor, and I am trying to move to a place where there are no nuclear power plants. Since writing to the List, I discovered that there is a nuclear power plant close to Cinci, so that's out. (As you may know, radiation is a known cause of cancer and all nuclear power plants emit low levels of radiation within a 50 mile radius). Thanks, Re: Cincinnati > > Hi , > I live in Versailles, KY which is about 1.5 hrs. south of >Cincinnati. It really only gets humid hear in the summer. The state is about 200 miles long from north to south, so use your judgement.
Guest guest
PS-- they have a natural history museum and a children's museum that is nice. We've gone there and the zoo. My boys wanted to go to build a bear, and we went there, as well. There is a nice mall at the river front (KY side) next to the Aquarium. My boys really liked the Aquarium. ~Peace be with you~ Pattie And in every disappointment, great or small, let your heart fly directly to your dear Savior, throwing yourself in those arms for refuge against every pain and sorrow. ~St. Seton
Guest guest
Thanks , I feel much better after talking with Dr. O. He is so interested in NEMO....and stated his lab is working fast and furiously on this new development.....I need to update him as 's cafe au lait spots are getting darker.....I noticed bruises on his spine again tonight. Nemo can also have some weird blood dyscrasias as well. Movingtruck is coming in the morning.... Cincinnati I've been to CCHMC. It is outstanding for comprehensive care...which most of our kids need because a faulty immune system causes all sorts of problems (lungs, GI, autoimmune/rheumatologic, among others). They have a major research lab so nothing needs to be sent out. If the immunologists feel that a visit is warranted, they will put in a good faith effort to understand the immune defect. The problem is that many immune defects are still poorly understood so it many take time, and genuine interest on the part of the doctors, to find answers. This month's issue of IG Living talks about 's son Conner and two other families that are in Dr. Filopovich/Bleesing's clinic. What all children have in common is that they were diagnosed CVID early in life and maintained on IVIG. Then, later in life, were all diagnosed with a more severe combined disorder. As immunologists learn more, so did the families. Ages are 6 to 12 years old. All are undergoing or preparing for BMT at CCHMC. They are interviewed. (...I'm reading your notes and sending good wishes. Second time's a charm : ) Please keep us posted.) mom to Dani, CVID+

Guest guest
--No, but maybe a discreetly worded ad in the classified or personals, or you could invite others to start a group. jill- In bird mites , " Ian " <tenchantre@...> wrote: > > Is anyone on this list from the greater Cincinnati area? > We are feeling very alone in this lengthy battle and would be grateful > to speak to someone locally. > > thank you > Ian >
