Hi Joan,

I'm glad to hear that Neal is getting better, again. Do you think his

dermatologist would be willing to discuss his protocol with another

physician? I haven't been to a doctor in a long time, but probably

should give it a try. It feels like my nerve endings are frayed. I

can't drive to Houston very easily, however, maybe some of the other

people on this site could drive their RVs to Houston, and get treated

by your understanding and knowledgeable derm.

his derm tues and got refills for stromectol, but don't think he will

need much longer. The doctor did explain to us that it was important

for Neal to take the medication that heals damaged nerve endings (in

his case " Gabapentin 300mg) because he said if left untreated nerve

endings can actually build up a kind of callous that has to be

surgically removed in some cases. That is the first time he ever told

us that so Neal is taking 1 every night now. Doctor explained that

when your nerve endings get irritated you feel everything as if it was

something alien to you - even the normal skin bugs everyone has and

are supposed to have. I guess it makes sense in a weird sort of way.

> I think you are smart to get into something small and portable like

a small RV. We used to have one for traveling and it was not bad at

all. Should be much easier to de-contaminate also.

that will help all our group to get their lives back totally,

> P.S. If anyone in the Houston, Tx area wants to check out our

dermatologist just let me know and I will give you his info. I

cleared it with him, but he will NOT treat you by phone, so be

prepared to see him every 2-3 weeks for the first part, and he is not

real expensive either.

> He will not treat you as delusional and has treated other people

besides Neal for mites.
