Guest guest
Hi Myrtle. I think he might talk with another doctor, but I am sure he will not talk to a person he is not acquainted with - or at least HE might - but I had a friend in California who tried and she could not get past his receptionist. If you know of one that wants to try this way I can give his phone no. He does not have a fax machine but does have email. I will do whatever I can for anyone who needs me to. Wish I had some better answers for you, but I thought there were probably some in the Houston area who has trouble finding someone to treat them like humans so that is why I posted that info. Hope you are doing better. Neal still has just a few crawlies but they have diminished considerably last 2 weeks. He still has not felt well enough to fog with cedarcide again and I am not able either. I think you could probably get your doctor to write you a prescription for the Gabapentin. They do use it for other things too. My family doctor prescribed it to me last year as a digestion aid. I did not use it though so don't know if it would help for that. It makes Neal really woozy so he only takes 1 at bedtime. Joan stromectol and gabapentin Hi Joan,I'm glad to hear that Neal is getting better, again. Do you think hisdermatologist would be willing to discuss his protocol with anotherphysician? I haven't been to a doctor in a long time, but probablyshould give it a try. It feels like my nerve endings are frayed. Ican't drive to Houston very easily, however, maybe some of the otherpeople on this site could drive their RVs to Houston, and get treatedby your understanding and knowledgeable derm.Alohamyrtle>> Thanks for encouragement M. Neal is getting better and we went tohis derm tues and got refills for stromectol, but don't think he willneed much longer. The doctor did explain to us that it was importantfor Neal to take the medication that heals damaged nerve endings (inhis case "Gabapentin 300mg) because he said if left untreated nerveendings can actually build up a kind of callous that has to besurgically removed in some cases. That is the first time he ever toldus that so Neal is taking 1 every night now. Doctor explained thatwhen your nerve endings get irritated you feel everything as if it wassomething alien to you - even the normal skin bugs everyone has andare supposed to have. I guess it makes sense in a weird sort of way.> I think you are smart to get into something small and portable likea small RV. We used to have one for traveling and it was not bad atall. Should be much easier to de-contaminate also.> I do hope this new year will bring forth a wealth of informationthat will help all our group to get their lives back totally,> Bye for now. Joan> > > P.S. If anyone in the Houston, Tx area wants to check out ourdermatologist just let me know and I will give you his info. Icleared it with him, but he will NOT treat you by phone, so beprepared to see him every 2-3 weeks for the first part, and he is notreal expensive either.> He will not treat you as delusional and has treated other peoplebesides Neal for mites.> > Joan
