CONGRATULATIONS AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO SKYE!!! Two great reasons to celebrate

today! Hooray! I'm so happy for your family.

Let us know how it goes with the plastic surgeon.

Hello Everyone

I would just like to announce that my beautiful daughter (who is 1 today)

has officially graduated from her band.

The plastic surgeon that we saw today noticed immediately that Skye still

has facial assymetry (very mild to us) and her head is still rather flat

behind the right ear - headbands still slip off.

He doesn't seem to think that another band will do much good.

It is possible that her lambdoid suture was partially fused after all.

Anyway that aside she has graduated and we go back to see the plastic

surgeon again in April.

She also saw the O/T and Speech pathologist today and they think

developmentally she is delayed somewhere around 3 to 4 mths - the O/T seems

to think the same way as I do that this delay is more than likely caused by

the Plagio. Finally a health professional who has the same opinion as I do.

(it may have something to do with the fact she has a baby due in 5 weeks,

hehe)

So we go back to see them in April also. They will reassess Skye then.

They also took photos of Skye today - all angles of her head - front back

sides and top at the request of the plastic surgeon. I guess I will know

some more come April 3rd.

Most of all I have to say a huge thank you to all the support that this

group has given us - it gave us the strength when we thought we couldn't

cope a minute longer.

I hope you all are well and so sorry that this is rather long

Regards

nna

nna:

What a big day for Skye! Happy 1st birthday to her & happy

Graduation day!

That's the 1st professional I can remember who attributes any type of

delay to plagio. I'm sure Skye will catch up in no time. I hope

things go well for her.

Be sure you stick with the group! Post some more pictures when you

can.

Have a great day!
