Yeah that's exciting!!! I did the same thing with 16 this past weekend. Now it's my goal to get in those.

> I was really amazed. Two sizes down. Wow.

Congrats! I wish I had the type of body that actually changed size when I

lost weight. I worse the same 26/28 at 220 as I did at 290. :(

> *sigh* So how is everyone else?

Hanging in there. One *good* thing that happened yesterday while

winterinzing the pantry was that I found a shoebox full of audio tapes -

About 6 from , a few pre-recorded walking videos of just the

beat, like a metronome tick, Jane Fonda walking, a few OA tapes, and (taa

daa!) the self hypnosis weight lost tape I had been looking for and was

going to replace! I *knew* I saw it since we moved into this apartment, and

I was right! Later today, after the hosuework and cooking is all done and I

have an hour to myself, I'll lock myself in the bedroom and pop it into my

Walkman. Let's see if it's as good as I remember.

> I was all alone in the office until 3:30 and the boss didn't show up at

all before I left.

The best kind of day! LOL

> I look forward to Friday, my first payday :D

That *does* make it all worthwhile, doesn't it? :)

Congrat on the pants. I have a BUNCH of size 18 jeans in the closet. I could wear them last year.... Hopefully I'll get into them this year.

As for the rain, send it our way I LOVE the rain and the only rain we got here was one night while I was sleeping :o( I'm ready for the rain I miss it.

I am good I did however have a bad time the last 2 nights I binged. My total calories was 2200 usually I eat between 800 and 1200. I hate it but while I'm doing it I don't care. Then afterwards the guilt comes! To night I WILL NOT BINGE!!!!!!

My affrimations:

1. I can start late on my routines as long as I do them. Housework done late still blesses my family!

2. I will move this body as when I WAS doing it, it felt so good. I can have that feeling again!

3. When night comes I can be strong. I am a strong woman and do not to give in to my binging.

Glad you are having a good week at work. It sure does feel good. SO what fun thing (you deserve one) are you going to but with your new found wealth??? LOL Blessed be,

How exciting - keep up the great work!!! I can't wait to hear your WI successes now that you are working and moving your body more (?)...

Unfortunatly, pay bills with the first check, then we'll be saving most of my earnings to get us a trailer home to put on our property. <ib_domesticdiva@...> wrote: Glad you are having a good week at work. "fun stuff" doesn't have to cost a lot. When we were as my DH calls "finanfially strapped" I'd love to go to the dollar store and buy 1 small plant or a new candle or incense. It's the thought that counts not the money. You deserve one little thing. Dontcha have dollar stores? LOL Blessed be,

Funny you should ask I told my shrink this when I met him Mon. I thought he was gonna choke LOL. He said THAT could be the reason I keep having dizzy spells. He insisted I go no lower that 1200. I have upped my calories but the dizzy spells are still there. He said if it's not calories it may be my BP <<<shruggs>>> who knew? Blessed be,

Wellllllll ... I was gonna try to sneak in a bag of potting soil and a couple of new plants :) My fav thing is to go to the garden section of Walmart and they have little 'cuttings' for like 2.00. I get those and repot em (they are usually rootbound) and make full plants later on. You should see my hawaiian anthurium! :) <ib_domesticdiva@...> wrote: "fun stuff" doesn't have to cost a lot. That's why I spend a lot of time on-line or reading library books. :)

>When we were as my DH calls " finanfially strapped "

I guess you meant " financially " . That's a constant state of being in this

house, especially now that the kid is going to grad school instead of

working. Some day we'll hit the lottery, pay off our credit cards, and be

able to breathe a little easier again.

It could be *many* different things. Even 1200 calories is still starvation

levels for someone your size. It could be you're not eating the right foods,

those with lots of fiber so they take longer to digest, so your blood sugar

drops too low between meals, or it could be an ear infection or inner ear

problems, or circulation problems, or even intestinal distress. Heck, any

one of your medications can be causing dizziness, too!

>He said if it's not calories it may be my BP <<<shruggs>>> who knew?

Do you have a blood pressure cuff at home so you can monitor it?

But first things first - increase your calories - and expect a gain while

your body adjusts to the new calorie level - and make some healthier food

choices and see what happens. Eat more frequently, say 5 or 6 small meals

instead of 3 large ones and a snack. Not only will this keep your blood

sugar at a more stable level but it boosts your metabolism, as the body is

constantly working at digestion, burning those calories.

> I had vertigo once ... major dizziness ... sucked.

I get it on an almost daily basis, thanks to my long-standing ear problems

and my hypoglycemia. Back when Henry was a baby I couldn't even trust myself

to drive it got so bad for a few months.

Any time the weather is changing, when the air pressure is moving either up

or down rapidly, I have to stay indoors and be ready to sit still, as it

drives my inner ears crazy. Tomorrow I have to see the eye specialist for my

6 month check up and we're going to have thunderstorms. The office is just a

few blocks from here but I hope I'll be able to walk it without getting

dizzy.

I've been having some bad typing days. I really need to read them over before I send them! LOL We aren't "well off" by any stretch of the imagination. We have enough money for bills and a bit left over for the extras. BUT in my mind that is "well off". Blessed be,

I'm so afraid to up my calories now that I am finally losing. I am hoping it not circulation problems my mom has COPD, her circulation is in the toilet and she is only 52! I'm trying so hard not to follow in her footsteps. I don't think it is the meds since I have been on them a year and the dizziness has only been bad for a month or so. I go in Mon to my PCP for a BP check. He may order an ecg too as I had one a year ago and it came back with problems, but I was too afraid to have it checked out! Now I know how stupid that is but I looked at it like this if I don't know I have a problem then I can't worry about it.

I don't have a cuff at home I wish I did! Blessed be,

Wow! I'm even older than your mom!

Then I won't add to your embarassment by going tsk, tsk, tsk. :)

> I don't have a cuff at home I wish I did!

I got mine for $20 in a local drugstore, then picked up an electronic one

for $10 more when they went on sale. That was my 3rd or 4th one - I wore out

the others as they got old and the rubber deteriorated or the stitching

ripped.

Be sure you get the larger cuff size, because a too-tight cuff can give you

a wrong reading. Be sure to mention that at the doctor's office, too. They

usually " forget " to use a larger cuff because they're trying to rush you out

the door and find it easier to just hand you more pills. Insist they use the

right cuff size. And when you go tot he doc after you buy your own cuff (if

you do) bring it with you so they can see how accurate it is compared to

theirs. Sphygmomanometers are as wacky as scales, where you can get

different readings from different machines.
