's Daily Message SundayOctober 01, 2006AT THE CAR WASH

Well, yesterday after I taught and worked on my body, I did something nice for the body of my car and visited the car wash! When I got there, I said hello to everyone. They all know me, as I`ve been going to this place for over 25 years! I didn`t have time for a wax or anything fancy. "Just a plain old car wash for me, Bill." I love this car wash because it has all these windows, and you can see the car being sudsed up and scrubbed. To me, it`s as much fun as an amusement park ride. LOL!

A guy got in my little Chevy truck and drove it a few feet away to start drying her off. Yes, my truck is a female. Anyway, after it was all dry, I got in to drive away, but I had no keys. No one gave me the keys! The guy who drove the truck said he put the keys on the back of the left wheel. Well, he looked and looked for them, but they weren`t there. He kept looking and found nothing! The manager came out to help, and so did the owner. They couldn`t find the keys. Four other guys who work there were all under the truck with little mirrors and flashlights.

So then I said to myself, ", you are on some kind of TV Show like Candid Camera, and they want to see if you`ll get angry." So what did I do? I sang and performed "Car Wash" from Disco Sweat. I remembered all the moves… and I was good!

Forty-five minutes later, they put my girlfriend on a lift, and suddenly the shiny set of keys fell out from the inside of the wheel and floated gently onto the ground! Everyone began to applaud, and I performed a reprise of the song.

So after it was over, no one rushed out of hiding to tell me I was on some comedy hidden camera show. I didn`t care; I enjoyed myself! Everyone, including the owner and the manager, thanked me for my kindness and patience and wished me a happy day, and I did have one!
