CHIP AWAY

We hope you enjoy reading `s message of the day today!

Dear ,

I am so upset with myself, and sometimes, I think I`m losing it. For 2

years, I have been taking great care of myself. I have totally changed the

way I`m eating, and mainly what time I was eating. I used to eat late at

night, and that`s how I packed on the weight. I`ve been exercising 5 days a

week, and I had lost 100 pounds. I said " had " because I`ve recently just put

on 5 pounds. I thought I could eat a little more, and it wouldn`t make a

difference, but it did.

Putting these 5 pounds back on has made me feel like such a failure. I can`t

say I lost 100 pounds anymore. I feel by putting on these 5 pounds, I have

let myself and others down, and for the life of me, I don`t know what I was

thinking. The minute I stopped watching my portions is the minute the weight

came back.

I have been punishing myself for gaining back some weight. I looked in the

mirror and told myself if I didn`t get a handle on this, I would gain all my

weight back. Isn`t that terrible of me? I`m at a loss. What should I do?

Love,

from Connecticut

I talked to yesterday, and I began our conversation by telling her

she was very hard on herself. I told her how many times I had gained back 5

pounds, 10 pounds… 50 pounds! I told no one is perfect, and that

slipups happen. I was just glad she caught herself at a 5-pound weight gain.

promised me she was getting out her FoodMover and starting over on

Blast Off week. I told her she should just concentrate on losing the pounds

she had gained. She promised me she would email me when she lost that 100

pounds again.

Can you relate to `s story? If you stop watching your portions, your

weight will go up, up, and away. Have you put on some weight recently? Did

you catch it at 5 pounds, or did you put on more? Get your FoodMover and

measuring cups and spoons out. Start today to chip away those regained pound

s!

Love,
