JUST LOOK AROUND YOU

So often we get so busy, we never stop to look around and see the ever

changing world we live in. Over the last several weeks, my life has been

very hectic, and I`ve been spending some time in the morning sitting out on

my patio off my kitchen. I`ve been sitting in my white rocking chair,

looking at all the beauty as far as my eyes can see. You know, I just love

hummingbirds, and I have feeders all around my house. The other day, I was

rocking and drinking my soymilk, and there were 8 hummingbirds drinking the

nectars from the red and yellow plastic flowers. OH… and I thought, " This is

such a beautiful thing to see. "

A few minutes later, I saw two adorable squirrels chasing each other in the

elm tree I planted 25 years ago. All I could see was these two fluffy tails

moving around the leaves and branches!

I then walked over to my little garden of miniature calla lilies and picked

a bunch of them to put in the house. I sat there for a minute and smelled

the gardenias in the same flower bed. I then looked up at the sky to watch

the clouds for a bit. I like to pick out clouds that remind me of the shape

of animals and people. Do you do that, too? Oh, and then there was this

amazing spider web that went from one azalea tree to another, and they were

15 feet apart! How do the spiders do that?

This week, I`ve been serenaded by a bunch of finches and an orange dragonfly

sat on my head, and in all this wonder, I bowed my head and said a prayer

for our planet. It is such a beautiful one! I really have no other planet to

compare earth with. I`ve only lived on this one! LOL!

Has your life been going round and round, making you feel like your feet

aren`t touching the ground? Then you need to stop and spend some time

getting in touch with the world God created for me and you. I hope your

weekend is planned with some nice walks, bicycle rides, or a graceful swim.

Today I`ll be working on my PBS special, and I`ll be looking for all the

hummingbirds I can find!

Love,
