Guest guest
's Daily Message SaturdaySeptember 02, 2006A SHOT I remember the first time I got in touch with Betty Ann. Oh, she was so upset and hurting because her dog, Storm, passed away at the age of 16. Betty Ann was attached to this dog and credited him with helping her lose 84 pounds. You see, Betty Ann and Storm walked together every day. For 2 weeks, she went on an eating frenzy and gained back 10 pounds. I shared with her about the dogs I lost and what I went through. I could really relate with this woman`s suffering. Well, that was back in March, and I just talked with her. She lost the 10 pounds she gained, and she lost another 16 pounds for a grand total of 100 pounds! Did this story give you hope? Oh, and I finally got to talk to Rich! I had mentioned him a while back in one of my messages. Rich used to sit and eat an entire large pizza and two double cheeseburgers and still be hungry. Last Christmas, Rich, at 6 feet 5 inches, weighed 370 pounds. All his life, Rich wanted to be a policeman, and at that weight, it was impossible. On January 8, Rich and his fiancée, – who, by the way, are getting married September 2007 – decided to lose weight together. They made some pretty strict rules for themselves, but they abided by them and began losing weight. All the while I was trying to reach Rich and , they were both in Orlando at Disneyworld, riding the rides while wearing mouse ears! I left them some messages, and when he returned, I got to speak with Rich. So far, he has lost 110 pounds, and has lost 50! Did this story give you hope? Suzanne had to buy a dress for her sister`s wedding. She emailed me in a panic last February. Suzanne told me she didn`t look good in the dresses her sister picked out. "The dresses are bright pink, and I look like a piece of strawberry shortcake!" I called her and talked about the FoodMover, exercise, and motivation. She had a FoodMover that her mother gave her 2 years ago, and she hadn`t even taken it out of the box. Well, she finally took it out and began on Blast Off week! She also started walking in the parking lot of the office building she worked in! Well, Suzanne is not a 20 anymore or an 18 or a 16. She`s a 12, and now feels fabulous in her hot pink dress! The wedding is in October, and she`s going to keep on going till she`s an 8! Did this story give you hope? We can always use a shot of hope every day. Thank you 3 people for giving us our shot today!
