I brought back out my nutritional diary and got breakfast logging in for today. My exercising is going great right now but my dieting really sucks. I know since I have stopped journaling that I'm letting food sneak past that is adding up. I'm exercising my butt off and still not losing weight. So that leaves my food intake. I have been saying I'm gonna get stricter about what I put into my mouth and then the next day it goes right out the window.But today I actually logged it. I wonder how long that will last. I weighed in today at 241.4 Almost the same that I weighed on May 27th. After all that exercise I've been doing and I have actually gained 3 pounds since July 1st. And the bad thing is I didn't think I was doing bad on my food intake. But once again I know it is because I haven't been journaling. Food has to be sneaking in. I know I'm eating and what I'm eating but when I'm not journaling I'm having more then I should. And without it being written in black and white for me to see I'm forgetting about it by mid day and then having a little more for this meal. If I was journaling I would be saying nope, I can't have this slice of bread with my meal because I had a cup of chocolate milk with breakfast. I have got to get myself back into opening that journal after each and every meal and recording. The bad thing of it is I went and updated my calorie program with all the foods I keep in my house on a regular basis. So it is really easy to do. All I have to do is choose my foods I ate from my food list and wala...it pops it all up for me. Calories....serving size.....fat...carbs .... How many calories I have left for the day ....etc...It's just getting myself to make me do it. So this is where I am at this point in my weight loss. I'm doing ok with exercise and water. And bad on food intake. I still have a little over 2 weeks left in this month and I'm still going to try and have some success to show come August the 1st. Friday it will be 24 weeks since I have started this weight loss plan I have loss 18.6 pounds total since I have showed some regain I am lacking 5.4 pounds having lost 1 pound a week since starting. I would love to lose that 5.4 plus a pound for each of the next two weeks by the 1st of the month but I know I don't loose that much that fast. But I really am going to put into the effort to get back off the small amount I have regained and a extra pound. I think starting to journal again will be the key to my success.
