WORKIN' ON DA COOKBOOK!

Happy Sunday to you! I have to tell you, I`m all steamed out! In several of my messages, I told you about my new steamer I invented for Salton, the company who created the Foreman Grill and other successful appliances. The steamer is simply called "Steamed Heat." It will be in stores in October, and I will be doing QVC the same month. And next month, I`ll be shooting an infomercial for my steamer! I`ve never done a kitchen infomercial before, and I`m so excited!

When you order the steamer through the infomercial, there is a special bonus you will receive. I`ll be giving a new cookbook away called "Steam Away the Pounds." There are so many great dishes in this cookbook that I wanted to include them in the package! Sweet Marlisa, our web friend and dietitian, came up with some of the recipes, and a team of others, including me, created the rest.

Working with a new product takes time and a lot of patience. I spent yesterday afternoon in a test kitchen doing… what else? Testing recipes! Since I was practically raised in the kitchen, I was very content chopping, slicing, and steaming. We tested one recipe five times in order for it to look and taste oh, so divine! The recipe was for Easy Eggs Benedict with Fat Free Hollandaise Sauce. Wait till you taste this guiltless dish!

There are quite a few breakfast menus that the steamer can whip up for you. How does garden vegetable frittata sound? There are also a lot of recipes for lunch and dinner and desserts. If you would have been in the test kitchen with me yesterday, you could have tasted Lemon Oregano Chicken and Turkey Cabbage Rolls! I have lots more testing to do the next two weeks, and I can`t wait! I`ve been super careful with my tasting of these scrumptious dishes. I`m just taking small bites of everything. I mean, you could put on quite a few pounds while testing over one hundred new recipes! Today I don`t even want to look at my kitchen. Well… maybe I`ll take just a few peeks. ;-)
