Today is music day for me! I plan to listen to wonderful music all day long. When I literally pop out of bed in the morning, I turn on the music. I bathe and shave to music. I fluff my do and moisturize to the beat of one of my favorite songs. I get dressed and feed my smiley face to some singer who I think is just singing for me!

When I drive to Slimmons for my radio show later today, I`ll have music playing all the way there, and on my show today, I`ll be playing songs from `61, `62, and `63. When I get back home, I`m cookin` to music. I got a lot of new CDs for my birthday, and if I have time this evening, I`ll hear some new songs to see if they are fantastic enough to play in my class. Here`s what I`ve been listening to.

I`ve always been a big fan of Shakira, and her new song, "Hips Don`t Lie," certainly gets my hips going! She performed this song at the closing ceremony of the World Cup. She was amazing!

I`m also having a little love affair with a gal named Kt Tunstall. I never heard of her before! She sings 2 songs that have me up and bouncing around! The first is called "Black Horse and Cherry Tree," and the other, "Suddenly I See." She has a powerful voice and powerful lyrics!

Then there`s Powter who sings about a bad day in his new hit tune, "Bad Day." I got Katharine McPhee`s new CD. She was the runner up on American Idol last season. She belts out a rendition of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" that puts you in a trance!

Do you remember the movie "The Wedding Singer" with Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore? Well, they took the movie and made it into a Broadway Show! The original cast recording is out, and it`s fun! My favorite song is called "It`s Your Wedding Day." Don`t ask me how many times I`ve heard this tune! Too many to admit to! LOL!

And last but not least, Blunt, and he`s on the charts with his song called "You`re Beautiful." I use it in class as a cool down song, and everyone sings along.
