Guest guest
What a bummer Sapphyre. I know how disappointing it is to see the scale going back up. Sounds like you know what is causing it and what you need to do. Now, just get on with it. Today. Ok, it's bedtime LOL so tomorrow!! Don't put it off until Monday - that's too many days with Thanksgiving in the middle! Do you all have a plan? Plan to eat as reasonable as possible while still enjoying a few goodies that are your "have to have favorites"? Remember 's MOTD today - don't gain 5-7 lbs this week! Holy crap I would die if my scale was up that much next week!! Be sure to get your water in and some exercise too.... I plan to go to Curves 3x this week for sure, 4x if I can make it.... then, lots and lots of walking or an exercise video on the days Curves is closed.... We can do it gals!! Guest guest
Not getting sick, I just wasn't overly hungry so I only ate breakfast ... then I went to Wallyworld in the evening and impulse bought one of those cups of fried shimp and ate it in the car on the way to get gas on the way home. I got the hiccups because I didn't have a beverage and had to buy a berrycreme Dr. Pepper when I got to the gas station (OK I didn't HAVE to but I'd not eaten all day so I did). Since then I've had two slices of cake and about 7 pieces of saltwater taffy. Tomorrow starts NO SWEETS. The nervous breakdown? There's a lot going on right now. My great job is turning out to be not so great after all my boss is turning into a horse's patootey. He's very rude. I'm actually calling on another ad tomorrow morning. My car is not running well, I'm hoping Saturday to get it repaired. Mother fell last night and rather than seeing a physician she's whining and generally making me miserable. I'm trying to get her to take Ibuprofen for the pain but she refuses, why I don't know. And the cherry on the cake is I've gained around 10 pounds. I'd only lost 30 to begin with. I have a hate/hate relationship with exercise. There are two things I know: 1) one CAN lose weight without exercise but must maintain a minimal amount of calories in which to do so and 2) exercise is the best thing for one who is trying to lose weight as it tones the body and helps out the cardivascular system, among other things. My problem isn't really my hatred of exercise moreover the place in which I have to do it. Outside is the best answer by far. Now, right now, there is no problem getting in an evening of exercise. But Wednesday a cold front is coming in and with it RAIN. Our property is 80% dirt, so rain means mud. Still though, there are places out there in which I can exercise, and the fresh air will do me good. I'm actually looking forward to it. So we'll see. I've decided to take work with a take it or leave it attitude, and start living life again unburdened. I cannot tolerate worry, stress and anxiety it's just not somthing I will put up with. So we'll see. I'll let you all know how I'm doing midweek. ABrite@... wrote: In a message dated 11/26/2006 4:18:15 P.M. Exercise will break, or stress will give so you don't want to snack and have treats. Me? I am still clawing my way back from being sick!! :'( Almost 2 weeks of this crud!! If not, what about before work? I know, I know... I have the same love affair with my bed in the morning and don't get up any earlier than I have to.... just ideas. What about a walk on breaks or lunch at work? OK, if none of this works, how about joining a gym or something now that you are working to do after work, but before you go home? Guest guest
I work 9-6. I get up at 6 a.m., make coffee, then my lunch, then my breakfast, sit and eat my breakfast and drink my coffee while waking up and reading email, then start at 7:45 getting dressed to leave at 8. I live 45 minutes from work. It's just easier for me to work out in the evenings, when I lost the 85 pounds before it was evening and weekend workouts that did it. I get home around 7 p.m. sometimes a little later, I try to be in bed by 10 p.m. 10:30 at the latest. ABrite@... wrote: In a message dated 12/18/2006 5:05:59 A.M. Pre-TOM pounds so I'm not overly concerned. Is that good, bad or same? I weighed this morning and am down 1.5 lbs from my Fri night weigh-in at Curves # so knew TOM wasn't helping me there. I drank a ton of water this weekend, and that probably helped, since last night was pizza and breadsticks night and usually I am up following that, but not "today" - it may hit in a day or two LOL... Another feast day so I'll have about 1 1/2 pounds to 2 pounds of real gain to contend with starting Tuesday but it's not all bad. You get to feast today? I guess if I did any feasting it was yesterday, but I also walked for a total of 130 minutes!! So, maybe that's another reason the scale was in my favor this morning LOL!! I'm going to do a little shopping today, I received a gift card for christmas and I want to blow it on dvds and candles and odds and ends for my desk. Might get a couple of new shirts too, I need long sleeves. How cool! My ds got a shopping card for Target and he went 2x and didn't see anything he wanted there, so I gave him the $20 cash and I have a gift card now LOL!! I will have to go shopping some time, but don't know that there is much for $20 that I want from Target.... I'll see if b/f can supplement it when I see him next. He just put out "8 bills" and got himself a PS3 and some accessories and games, so me thinks my spoiling is going to be slim this month!! Waaaah - that's ok!! So just taking it easy today and not worrying about anything, letting my mind drift and getting back into natures rhythm. Beats the heck out of man's rhythm, doesn't it? Ahhhhhh yes, I do agree!! I stayed in bed until 11:30 Sunday morning and 9:30 this morning. I am going to have hell to pay tomorrow morning to get out of bed for work - yeesh. Guest guest
It's up a little, from 220 so only a pound but again, it's getting TOM so once that passes I'll be back closer to 215. Way closer because I did good shopping today. The only snacks I bought was the Dole Parfaits and NutriGrain yogurt granola bars. No chocolate. No pudding. No 'extras' that only add up to more calories. I do still have chocolate in the drawer at work but I'll savor it. When it's gone no more. I bought thinsliced chicken breast (land o lakes) for sandwiches for lunch and another box of Trisquits to make sure I had enough for the week. I eat those instead of chips. I bought Arizona Green Tea and drink that instead of soda. Other than that I drink water or those crystal light sticks you put in 16.9 oz of water. I think the new year is starting out well! Congrats on being down that's awesome! ABrite@... wrote: In a message dated 1/1/2007 8:23:41 A.M. Pacific Standard Time, asmallersapphyre writes: 221 this new year's day.
