Guest guest
's Daily Message SundayJuly 02, 2006WILL IT GET EASIER? Dear , I am on day 9 of my weight loss project and have lost 3.6 pounds so far. I am eating all my foods, drinking my water, and walking 45-60 minutes every day. I am 5 feet 7, 43 years old, and a mother of 3 kids. I have a terrific hubby, and I weigh 193 pounds. My goal is to hit 145, I wish by tomorrow, but I'll go at the rate of 5 pounds per month. What I am wondering is how long does it take until this is automatic? Right now, I am fighting hunger pangs. I am assuming they will go away, too. So is there some day in the future when I will just wake up and this is the way I eat and it doesn`t feel so foreign? Thanks,Andi Sweet Andi, first you have to remember you have been on your weight loss project for only 9 days – 9 DAYS! How many days have you not eaten well and not exercised? I`m sure it would be more than 9 days, wouldn`t it? First let me congratulate you for staying on program for this long. Some people can`t stay on program for 3 or 4 days, so be proud of yourself so far! You asked me does it get any easier. Andi, yes it does! It gets easier, but the task will never be easy. The more you practice eating healthy and exercising daily, the better you will get at it. If it were easy, everyone would be slim and trim, and as you know, most people aren`t! You will always be tempted to put your fork where it shouldn`t be. You will always be tempted to skip a day of exercising, and you`ll always be tempted to believe you are not worth it and don`t deserve to be healthy. The more you say no to these temptations, the stronger you will become. So stay focused, Andi, and 9 days will become 2 weeks, and 2 weeks will become a month. Then in a month, you will be able to see for yourself how your hard work paid off! That`s what I told Andi, and that`s what I`m telling you! Practice patience and be kind to yourself every day, and remember, nothing great comes easy. Love,

I don't know who made up the charts LOL, but I think I will look like a sick twig at 165... we'll see. I want to be healthy, for sure, but I think 165 might be too low. Thing is also: I don't remember the last time I was 165 - definately high school - so I am not saying *no* I am saying *we'll see*
Guest guest
It's the low end of the height/weight chart. Which we all know is pretty much worthless. I'm 5'7 " and my doctor wants me to aim for 210 so I don't lose any muscle mass! SulaBlue --- Ann and <maryannanderic@...> wrote: > 5'7 " and 193 sound pretty darn good to me. It's just habit to put the sender's name in when I reply to a message. I'll try to remember not to do that if I'm responding to 's ramblings. I know that you aren't 5'7 " 193 pounds. It sure would be nice though. Ann
