Well.... I "was gonna" try to hit Curves today to get my 3x this week - I *hate* short weeks. Due to the holiday, there were only 4 opportunities to go anyway and I was going to aim for today for my 3rd time... but the kiddos are still asleep, so it wouldn't be good for mom to ditch to go to Curves. Now, if I could trust them to stay asleep - maybe... but not a good idea for them to wake up to no mom....

So, I will try to get out for my 30 min walk later and might get my Debbie DVD out and put it in and quietly huff and puff in the living room... hey, that's an idea. I need to eat a little something first, then maybe I *will* do that before they wake up.

Hope you all have a great day,

LOL no... this is Debbie Sieber's "Slim in 6" from the day that I thought I could lose 100 lbs in 6 weeks LOL!! OK, I never thought I could lose 100 lbs in 6 weeks, but I bought into that "diet" lie too.... but, I love the workout, so it's cool...

by noon we were off the Manhattan to the Fat Girl's Flea Market.

I think it would be fun to plan a vacation around going to this. I think I saw a post earlier this year from you about it coming up, but for me to go clear across the U.S. to a flea market?? I would have to plan that for sure at least a year in advance. I can just see it now:

Flight to Fat Girls' Flea Market: $700

Hotel: $400 (eh, we're talking NY right?)

Bag o goods: $50

Getting to watch it and experience it: PRICELESS!!

Our Curves is closed on weekends, so you would have been off the hook. :)

Nah, it would probably be a bit traumatic for the little tykes.

Debby? Debby Reynolds? Don't laugh - she did one called Do It Debbie's Way

or something way back in the early 1980's, right after her husband absconded

with her bank account and she was desperate for money. It's not that bad - 3

different workouts of about 30 minutes each. I love watching Winters

trying to touch her toes and giving up. :)

Just did some stretching this morning because by noon we were off the

Manhattan to the Fat Girl's Flea Market. We got about a 5 mile walk in, half

of it carrying 6 bags of clothes, and I wound up with 15 pieces (slacks,

shirts, a few sweaters, a summery dress, and a nice pair of lightweight

overalls in a greenish linen) for a grand total of $50, about half still

with the tags on. We're debating whether to go back tomorrow or now. Our

wristbands will get us in for free, so we might.

Hey, I could do that. Of course, I would probably have ot cut off both legs

to accomplish that feat. LOL

For ladies who live in some area of Pennsylvania, I read on a message board

that they're doing a bus trip for Sunday, charging $30 for the round trip.

That's not bad!

They didn't announce the date until around April this time, so you'd have

even less time to plan. :)

It was a blast, almost as much fun as last year when Shanker, author

of Fat Girl's Guide to Life, was there autographing books and some of the

gals were modeling clothes. Today, one of the workers kept digging through

the piles trying to find the weirdest, gaudiest item she could find. There

were bright polka dots on a pair of shorts, Day-glo swirls on a t-shirt, and

some really weird design (looked like faces from a distance) on PJ bottoms.

Each time someone would holler out What size? and each item found a buyer.

Ed was so embarrassed today, not because he was a guy at a

lesbian-organization sponsored clothing sale (there were about 5 guys there

besides him) but because the changing area was so crowded that many women

were stripping right in the aisles to try clothes on. When we got home he

told Henry he saw more fat ladies in panties than he did his entire life. He

even pointed one gal out to me and told me I should buy panties like she had

one (some high-cut thing in a silky fabric). When we got home I showed him

the ones that I do own in a similar color but cotton. He told me I don't

walk around in my undies in front of him enough. Kind of hard to do with a

22 year old son living at home!

Yeah and although the oldest is old enough to watch them for 30-45 minutes in a pinch, he tends to take his power to the extreme and it isn't wise.

Ahhhh but that's ok Sue. Knowing it happens and I am interested maybe in attending, I could start saving for "sometime" Of course also: this time next year I hope to not need to benefit from a "fat girls flea market" LOL...

Bet ya didn't miss it if it got that late LOL!!
