Guest guest
Way to go on the jogging! I haven't dared try it yet. Worried it'll my hips ache worse. I might give it a go though. > > Good morning! > This morning, I got up at 5:30 and walked/jogged for 45 minutes! I > can do about equal amounts of time now of the two. OK, but I do understand that for some, it is best to get up before the family and get their work-out in. Personally, I was probably snoring at 5:30 since I slept til 9... He said to go for like 4 minutes with no resistance and 1 minute with resistance and do that like 6 times. After I get comfortable with that increase my resistance time untill I end up doing about half and half. The last ten minutes, though, I just walked > to get my heartrate back down. Not if she has temperatures today like *we* have - it's 93 right now, the air is grey and stagnant, and both Henry and I had to take puffs of our asthma meds not too long ago. I'll be *happy* to get my workout done at 5:30am tomorrow after a day like today! Sue in NJ

Min-90's here in NJ again today, and when I woke up at 5am the living room was already 85 and outside was 80. That's what I get for trying to save electricity by turning that window ac unit off overnight. Things have now been blowing for 3 hours and it's down to 80 in there, so I hope I can get a 20 minute Sansone video in before passing out. I'm loading up on water now in preparation for the Big Sweat (trademark). LOL Sue in sweltering, steamy NJ

Guest guest
>We turned down the central air here last night I insisted we keep all the air conditioners on last night, and this morning the computer room/living room was in the high 70's instead of low 80's, so once I turned all the fans on it wasn't too bad. >Did you get your exercise in?? Not yesterday but I did this morning, did a 1-mile Sansone video, not realizing that the Walk the Walk is the longest of her 1-milers, over 20 minutes. I prefer the shorter, faster ones, like Miracle Mile. Oh, well, there's always tomorrow. But Thursday morning I'm off to the doc. My asthma has been acting up in this weather and I sorely need refills on *everything*, so while I'm there I'll talk to him about my thyroid again. Every year he tests it and every year I'm " borderline " . Well, *this* year my skin is dryer than ever, I'm more tired than I ever was even though I'm doing less, my hair is thinning, and by that I mean *everywhere*, and my memory is shot. Now, most of these are also symptoms of menopause, which I'm rapidly approaching (7 months since my last monthly), but since I also gain weight unless I exercise 5 days a week and eat only 1000-1200 calories, I'm betting my chips on thyroid. Last year, because my numbers fell within what the lab paper said was normal values, he still said I was borderline, but since then I learned that I would have been diagnosed hypothyroid under the *new* protocols. Not that I *want* to be hypothyroid, I just want to feel like a human being again! Even Ed noticed this past week that I've been droopier than usual, and for *him*, the typical clueless male, to notice it *must* be noticeable! Guest guest
When I got my thyroid tested they said I was on the low side of normal and they put me on thyroid pills.. I still get tired in the afternoons. I feel alittle bit better but that could be cause I am home with the girls.. I really wish we could afford for me to be a stay at home mom.. not that I don't like working and bringing in money its just the past 10+ years.. It's been mainly my job that has been supporting us...Now that he has a good paying job and helping out more.. Between the both of us we make a decent amt finally but if its only one of us.. It puts us back to struggling.. Who knows.. maybe someday Sue in NJ <susang3@...> wrote: Every year he tests it and everyyear I'm "borderline".
