Guest guest
Decided to go since it's Friday and I'm not getting better. Good thing I went, I have my first ever sinus infection and double ear infections. Woo hoo This ear infection thing is really throwing me for a loop--never had one as a baby or growing up, but now I've had two in 6 months. Weird. And since I'd never had a sinus infection, had no idea what the symptoms were and didn't think much of it. *shrug* Can I just say that I love my doctor? She is just so nice and easy to talk to and while she's always running late, she's worth it and by the time you leave, you know *why* she's always late--because she sits and really listens to you, takes time to chit chat, and is just a really nice person. She noticed that I'd lost more weight since the poison ivy (not much, just 2-3 pounds) and she asked what my total was since I started and when I told her, she was genuinely happy for me. None of this, " Well, you know, you'll probably regain the weight if you don't do it surgically " (last doc said that), or " You really ought to be losing faster...try this " (doc before last). I just love her Otherwise, I'm not eating a whole lot, just feel pretty run down. I've managed to exercise every morning (I really do feel better all the way around after I exercise, I just don't push myself at all when I'm sick), but nothing too strenuous. I've been drinking lots of broth and I think the sodium is making me bloat (despite lots of water, too). I'm not getting on the scale for a few days. Between TOM and this, I'm sure it wouldn't be pretty How's everyone in here? , are you feeling better? , are you still around?--been thinking about you! , did you talk to dh about joining WW again? , how's the trampoline treating you the past couple of days? There's lots more to respond to, so I'm going to go and try to catch up on posts. Hope all you ladies have a wonderful weekend! -Bonnie

Wow, Bonnie... mine is a piece of cake compared to your double ear infections/sinus infection. I keep claiming allergies and I do feel better (thanks for asking)... but I do wonder if it was more sinus. We'll see. I am working on a head-to-toe "I feel like crap" list to take to my own doctor and see what's up with what and what we can do to make me feel better LOL!! Get better soon!! I've been living with them since infancy, and it's no picnic. > This ear infection thing is really throwing me for a loop Be careful making sudden moves, as you may get dizzy. That's the part I hate the most. > Otherwise, I'm not eating a whole lot, just feel pretty run down. Load up your pantry of the salt-free versions when you next go shopping. Even if you have to add a bit to the bowl it's still going to be less than the full-salt versions. > I'm not getting on the scale for a few days. I don't blame you at all! I tell ya, stationery machinery has never called out to me: I hate treadmills and stand-still bikes. I would rather be outside walking or riding. Of course, in the house there is <not too much> complaint of too hot, cold or windy/rainy/snowy... maybe I *should* get a machine to work out on ;-)

Thats what I like. Its a bit annoying to have to wait for them but when I'm in the office and the doctor is checking me out I want it to be my turn. I want them to focus on me and not the next patient in line. If that means I have to wait for awhile longer for them to get to me then thats fine. As long as when it is my turn...I am the focus and they are willing to hear my concerns and answer my questions. And it is dern hard to find a doctor that does that now. You're lucky to have found her. > Otherwise, I'm not eating a whole lot, just feel pretty run down. > I've managed to exercise every morning (I really do feel better all > the way around after I exercise, I just don't push myself at all when > I'm sick), but nothing too strenuous. Between > TOM and this, I'm sure it wouldn't be pretty I hope you feel better soon. I have had one severe allergy attack that lasted about 4 days but only the one time so I consider myself lucky. Usually my allergys bother me very frequently. And I know those ear infections are no fun. I had a ear infection a few years ago that I think took some of my hearing. While I had it I couldn't hear nothing from that ear. The doctor said it should return. Most of it did but I think it did some permanet damage because since then My hearing from that ear hasn't been normal. So you take care and make sure you take all your antibiotics. > , how's the trampoline treating you the > past couple of days? We have come to a understanding between us. I won't jump on it and it won't taunt me with snickers. I am saving it for the grand kids to play on.. That thing just is not for me. I never could get over 2 minutes on it. I get 30 minutes on my bike daily. Once or twice I even got 45 minutes. And yesterday hubby declared he worked on my treadmill again and thinks he has it going again. I got on it yesterday in addition to my bike for 8 minutes. I used to do 30 minutes on it but 8 is all I could do yesterday. However I wasn't also doing the bike before when I was walking the treadmill. I'm hoping it will last for awhile again but 8 minutes isnt enough time to tell. > >

Not a snickers candy bar. However the trampoline isnt keeping up its side of the bargain. Everytime I enter my bedroom I can hear it laughing hysterically. If it wasnt for the grandkids it would done made it to the trash:)

I have one of those trampolines, but don't get on it <much> (ok, at all!!) I should, that would be a fun thing to do inside. I'll see if mine snickers at me...
