Guest guest
Sounds like your on the right track Tina, I have done simalar, but my portions have not decreased I have just added a lot more whole grains, like oats, popcorn and salads. Also, I've changed the way I cook things. Mostly, no coating on the meat except seasoning. Also, I find that ice tea with artificial sweetner satifies my sweet tooth. Don't for get dairy. I usually have a non fat yogurt in the evening for a snack and it seems to help also. Just a few thought, Sharon~*Tina Barker*~ <Countrygurl2006@...> wrote: I have been thinking alot here lately. I dont know why I cant get back on track. But Im a very determined person. So I have thought about what my goals should be. And here they are. Im going to drink more water, Exercise more, and eat healthier and smaller portions. Thats what helped me last time so thats what Im going to do now and get this weight off for good. I have already lost 38 pounds and I want another 38 pounds gone. Heres to a new beginning. I devoted a whole notebook to goals, weight, measurements, a journal, motivators, ways to keep busy so I don't eat. It is one of my best weight loss tools. I think you should try it. I pull it out once a week and read through everything to see how far I have come and to help stay on track and envision my results. Maybe you could try it for a while and see if it helps you too. It is a very powerful tool in my fight. Definitely setting goals is a step in the right direction. The hard part is not to beat ourselves up if we don't quite reach them. I have been trying to teach myself that it is ok to mess up. I just have to keep on going because I can do it and I am worth it. So are you!!! If it helps, maybe we can all post our goals for the day/week/month whatever here so that we can help each other out. Take care and I hope you will be feeling much better tomorrow! That is great about you being down 38 pounds and yes you can lose another 38 pounds. I have faith in you. You can do it!!!! So glad you aren't giving up. We can both do this!!!!!!! I have to tell that to myself too. from MO.

Good idea, Beth. I try to do that, but sometimes forget. I will try to remember, especially since we are starting a new week/month this weekend! ;-)
Guest guest
Hi Beth, That is a great idea about your notebook. I need to get a new notebook and do the same. I was using an old note book, but could never decide what I wanted in it. I kept tearing out the pages and it is a real mess. So I think it is time I got a notebook just for this purpose. from MO. Maybe someone else will like the idea too. I have a page (or more) for each section. I divided it into sections like: Reasons to Change my Eating Habits Ways to Reduce Stress without Snacking Things to do Instead of Eating Non Food Rewards for Meeting Goals and Losing Weight Ways to Stay on Track Goals Motivational Quotes Measurements Weight Chart Updates on Progress Food Diary Exercise Log Like I said, it is pretty extensive. It has really helped me to see my progress and remind me why I am doing this when I get down about it. I hope some of this helps you or anyone else. Guest guest
Good morning all, Since joining the group I have decided to post in the weight- in chart that is in the database and found that it has helped I usally post in it every other week. as far as a food log goes i start one and never do it more than a day or two so need to work on that goal other than that I will continue to drink water and walk more. and eat more fruits and veggies Have a great day !!!!!!!!!!!
