Guest guest
This week things have been crazy. Last week I had to deal with a friend who was in crisis. About 18 months ago she started drinking at a local VFW and got interested in a guy there. She was married but they had a unorthodox marriage. Her hubby was a AA/NA in recovery. Bottom line in June of last year he moved out. She was willing to go into therapy and counseling but he had moved on. He basically wont even talk to her except threw lawyers. I tried talking to him he refused. I think it is his guilt. She was in trouble and he ignored it. Anywho I thought that would slap her back into reality. She took up with this other guy. When I found out his name I had a hunch he was no good. I spoke to my brother who is on the force in that town (my hometown). He gave me the 411 on him. No good, drinker, and abuser. He broke a gal arm. There were 2 orders out on him. I tried to speak to her. About 2 weeks ago she confessed that he beat her and the cops were called do to the noise. She lied for him so he was not removed. Then last week about 4:30pm I get a call. is one of your brothers on duty. I said not sure. She said have them come to my office right away. She could not speak. I called Ken who said why I said most likely domestic issues. So she called me back and said the guy came to her work drunk and threaten to kill her if she went out with a co worker that night for dinner. She was terrified. Ken went to her and started filling a report out. She didnt finish the report. Ken talked to his supervisors. Do to his history and the calls to her apartment a warrant was issued. Ken found him that night trying to get into her apartment building. He was still drunk. He was arrested. So I spent the weekend and the past few days trying to get it threw her head she can not let him back into her life. I was so desparate that I called her mom. She does not know it but I wanted to make sure her mom knew the whole story on this guy. I pray she will get her life together. Sorry for the ramble. This is my best friend since 7th grade. Even though our lives took different paths she is trully my friend for life. So please pray for her. So today i need to catch up on chores. We have lots of rain her in NH again. I WANT to get some exercise in as well today. NH... Mom to Abby Liz 10/94 Anne 7/
