Guest guest Posted April 28, 2006 Report Share Posted April 28, 2006 's Daily Message Friday April 28, 2006 THE LONG GOODBYE The dogs are up early with me this morning, and they`re already pouting. They see the suitcases, the steamer trunks, and the hat boxes, and they know I am once again leaving. They both look so sad, and Hattie actually crawled into the suitcase and lay there. Gosh, I wish I could bring Hattie and Dolly along with me. They would love all of you who are coming on the cruise! But alas, I have to say goodbye to them and hello to so many wonderful people that I`ll get to spend a week with. Goodness, the older I get, the more I have to bring! and I worked very hard on the new tank tops. You should see my Swarovski crystal bill! LOL! We`ll be taking lots of pictures, so you`ll get to see many of them. Tom Drennon, who designs all of my logos for the cruise, really outdid himself this year. I can`t wait for you to see the new t-shirts! We`ll be putting them on the web when we get back. The whole theme this year is silver to celebrate my Silver Anniversary of cruising, so we used silver and black on everything that is in our cruise bag. Oh, and the binder is so fantastic this year! put her magic touches on it, and I know everyone will enjoy reading it. Usually we use fun drawings in the binder, but this year we used pictures from cruises gone by, and the first picture is a group picture from our very first cruise! So many of those people have been cruising with me ever since. I`ll say a long goodbye to my house, because I will miss it so. I travel so much, but not for this many days in a row. I`ve been in this house for 26 years, and I feel I`m sort of married to it! I`ll have to say a long goodbye to Slimmons, because I won`t be teaching there for a week, so my other teachers will teach my classes and hold down the low cal fort! I went out and bought a couple of new outfits for formal night. It was fun trying on new clothes. My colors this year are black, white, and hot pink, and I do mean hot! I broke in a new pair of cross trainers to take with me. I have a lot of classes to teach and stairs to climb. I don`t have to say goodbye to all of you, because I will be writing a daily message on the ship to let you know what is happening. Please take this cruise with us! I know you`ll have fun. I`m staying in Coconut Grove, Florida this evening, and I have a meeting with my crew to go over everything. Well, take care, and we`ll chat tomorrow!
