That is why I am thinking seriously about trying the Slim Fast for two meals a day and then watching my portions on the third meal. Is this something that you can do *safely* with your diabetes? It sounds good and all that, but you don't want to go dumping a lot of weight quickly, remember: slow and steady wins the race. You were doing really good with planning menus and stuff for awhile there, can you get back to that? I think spark people has those printable menus and shopping lists. You can make substitutions if you don't like the particular meal they are planning. I like easy. I get so frustrated when I don't know what to eat and then I usually end up eating the wrong things if I wait for the last minute to decide what to eat. I know what you mean. If I have a plan for breakfast, lunch and dinner, it is easier than when I get home and am hot, tired and cranky - not to mention hungry or having hungry kids saying "what's for dinner mom" - I don't want to think about it..... that's when it is easy to go for something less nutritionally sound or hit the drive thru....
