WHAT ARE YOU DOING FRIDAY?

How many times have I told you how much I love salads? (Millions of times, I`m sure.) In fact, I was the proud owner of the first salad bar restaurant in Los Angeles. Just name the salad and I can make it.

I lost my weight and kept it off all of these years, in part, by creating and eating wonderful salads. I have a salad everyday, if not for lunch, then certainly for dinner. My love of salads got me a fabulous job and that`s why I'm leaving for New York City again tomorrow morning.

Maybe you`ve seen by now, the commercial on television for Wish-Bone's salad dressings in a spray bottle called Salad Spritzer. Yes, it`s a spray-on salad dressing and contains only one calorie per spritz. I know I`ve mentioned this product to you before and, I will tell you, it`s a great one.

Wish-Bone is throwing a huge fashion show in New York called "Putting On the Spritz." (Cute, huh?) It`s to introduce everyone to their fabulous and tasty new spray-on salad dressings.

This is gonna be just like one of those ritzy fashion shows in Paris or London. Keeping with the salad theme, all the models will be wearing haute couture fashions made from real salad ingredients like, lettuce, cabbage and every fruit and vegetable you can think of.

The outfits will truly be one of a kind. I brought two of the models on the Martha Show with me two weeks ago and they were drop dead gorgeous. So, this coming Friday, June 2nd, I will be hosting the Summer Salad Fashion Show at 12Noon at Grand Central Station`s Vanderbilt Hall in Manhattan.

I`m so excited and you should see the tank top I`ll be wearing. It`s basic black, (of course), with rose of asparagus made of ten different colors of Swarovski crystals. Why I`ll look good enough to lay on a bed of butter lettuce!

If you are in the New York City area this Friday, come join us. The show will be open to the public.

By the way, do you love salads as much as I do? Well, as long as you`re here, let me fill your head with some fantastic salad ideas.

For starters, how`s about a spinach salad with purple onions, mandarin oranges and grilled shrimp. Or a chopped salad that includes baby lettuce, carrots, cucumbers, garbanzo beans, bell peppers mushrooms and Parmesan cheese. This one will get ya`...shredded cabbage salad with diced apples, raisins and cubed chicken breast. Wait, I've got one more! Cold string bean salad with cherry tomatoes and chunks of white tuna. Hungry yet?

Yum! Hey, I know it`s early but I've gotta go and make myself a salad. Hope you can join me this Friday in New York, too as we put on the SPRITZ!

Love,
