Guest guest
's Daily Message ThursdayMay 25, 2006ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS DREAM We all dream. And our dreams can be good ones or they can be bizzare, crazy ones. Let`s talk about the bizzare ones first. Certain medications can cause upsetting dreams. So can different combinations of food. Alcohol and drugs can also make the mind think upsetting thoughts that show up in your dream patterns. I really think the majority of bad dreams are caused by negative thoughts in your head before you drift off to dreamland. Too many people go to bed upset with themselves. They toss and turn thinking about all the things that didn`t work out that day. It could be something unpleasant that happened at work or at home. It could be that they`re depressed about money or relationship problems. Or they may even be angry with themselves because they overate that day and didn`t exercise. Then they begin to feel like a big failure. When you begin thinking those kinds of negative thoughts before you shut your eyes, you just may run into "" or that "Freddie" guy from Elm Street in your dreams! To keep the bad out of your dream time, you must have happy thoughts. The other day in class, I played a beautiful song from the musical, "South Pacific" called "Happy Talk". The lyrics go like this: "Happy talk, We talk in happy talk. Talk about things you like to do. You`ve got to have a dream. If you don`t have a dream. How you gonna make your dreams come true?" Before you sleep, you have to talk happy to yourself. You have to think about the happy things that happend to you today. You have to think about your goals and visualize how you`re going to look when you reach your goal weight. You have to mentally plan your tomorrow. What will you eat? What exercises will you do for your body? You have to think about how great you will feel tomorrorw and how much energy you will have. You should always put yourself in a good mood before the old sandman visits your bedroom. Happy dreams tonight. Love,
