The $750 includes 5 personal trainer sessions and child care. What about yours? My husband got me the membership for Mother's Day then cancelled it because he wanted me to do the free trial first. When I get home from vacation I need to join so I'll look for the best deal possible. I'm sure it varies by location too. An LA Fitness is being built very near by so that will be in direct competition with 24 Hour Fitness. Ann
Guest guest
Typically if you can " join " before the gym opens they have some really good deals. that is what we found with lifetime fitness -heidi On 6/5/06, maryannanderic@... <maryannanderic@... > wrote: -----Original Message----->From: Kathey <WeRBlessed4@...>>Yeah and makes my 3 years at 24 hour fitness for 432 look REALLY REALLY good ÜÜ That's really cheap. Guest guest
Mine only includes the membership but I would have LOVED having the child care (I had to pay 3.00 for each child, so 6 bucks just to walk in their door! Luckily my girls are a tad bit older and when/if I DO go the that gym, I can leave them home....) I pay 12 bucks a month, which is pretty cheap....but 750 including personal trainers and child care is a GREAT DEAL! Or LA fitness is actually closer and more convenient and has more to offer, but I just hate giving up the 12/mo fee for a 39/mo fee at LA Fitness..... Guest guest
You can't beat $12/month for a gym membership!!! We pay $56/month, but that includes pretty much unlimited childcare and tons of free (and discounted) classes at the Y...so, I guess it all works out. It's nice having access to all the outdoor fun for the summer, too...when they built this Y two years ago, they installed two outdoor swimming pools (one for toddlers) and a splash pad--the boys LOVE it! -Bonnie > > Mine only includes the membership but I would have LOVED having the child care (I had to pay 3.00 for each child, so 6 bucks just to walk in their door! Guest guest
I am SO jealous that you have access to a Y...I guess they figure that in So Cal they don't 'need' something like that so they are few and far between...the nearest one to me is about 45 minutes by freeway so just not worth it....my sister is in WA and they LOVE their Y....use it DAILY! My sister and my niece and nephew all work (or have worked) there!! I would Love that!!! XOKathey Re: 24 Hour Fitness You can't beat $12/month for a gym membership!!! Guest guest
I worked for the Y for ten years in the parent child programs, and I for one will tell any one to get to the Y. They have scholarship programs for families to help them attend classes, and become members. You don't have to be a member to join any class, except if they have a fancy fitness center. I think the Y is great for getting families together for fitness and fun. Our Y during the summer has a float and film program. Since it has 3 pools, one family pool is used for a movie and floating in the water with the kids. Lots of good things always going on at the Y. I wish we had one close enough to use regularly! One was built a few years ago but it is too far from our house. It is awesome with water slides, water play area and huge rock climbing walls. I want them to build one like that near us. Ann
