Guest guest
's Daily MessageThursdayJune 01, 2006 JUNE BUG I hope I`m not, uh, "bugging" you too much about taking good care of yourself. But, hey, what can I tell you? I only do it because I love you so much. First, let me welcome you to the sixth month of 2006. I know some people talk about such a thing as "June Gloom," but not me. This will not be a gloomy month for you. No-sir-EE! Because I`m here for you to make you laugh, make you think and, okay, maybe to bug you just a little bit, too. (LOL!) Last month, I asked you to join my Five-Pounds-A-Month Weight-Loss Challenge. So, how`d you do? Did you lose the five pounds last month or, maybe even more? And, if you didn`t, do you know the reasons why? That`s why taking inventory is so very important. I know you`re busy juggling so many things in your life. But have you ever thought how long you`ll be juggling all those things if you don`t take good care of your life? I know many of you are on my SlimAway and FoodMover programs. Others of you are on similar intelligent weight-loss programs that, like mine, are based on the six major food groups and portion control. But how faithful to them have you been from January until now? And if you haven`t been loyal, let June be the month you start. Deal? Start by cleaning out your fridge, freezer and cupboards. Next, get to the grocery store with a healthy shopping list and buy the foods that will help you stay on program. And be prepared for me to really bug you about exercise this month, too. I want you to start walking more. The weather will be beautiful this month. So get outside and say hello to Mother Nature. Get your 45 minutes to an hour of sweat in as many times a week as you can. And don`t forget to tone your muscles two or three times a week, also. There are 30 days in this month and I want you to do your ab work, every one of those days. I want you to eat healthy and really workout this month. And most important of all, I want you to be good and kind to that special gift God has given you. Your body! Put yourself at the top of your "To-do List." Make time to pamper yourself and to look your best. (You`ll feel better for it.) Wake up and wind down with a positive attitude and always look at the glass as half-full rather than half-empty. Don`t get yourself all worked up over the small things. If you get a little stressed-out occasionally, go outside and think silly thoughts. At the end of this month, one-half of 2006 will be over. And that`s why I say to you, over and over again, to make every minute of every day count. Off to New York I go! Love,
