Steroids tend to cause weight gain, but it should come right off when you stop

taking

them.

Poison oak YUCK!

I need to do that Wendee plan....I had my first real gain today at ww (THREE POUNDS!!!) and I am totally bummed and afraid that this is the beginning of the end....any advice? Words of encouragement??XOKathey

What a day.

A week ago today I started clearing out all the plants andbushes/shrubs from around our house. That night I had two small bumpson the side of my face, kinda looked like mosquito bites, and theyitched like mad. Then the next day they were a little worse, and 2-4days ago all of a sudden it's down my neck, starting in on my upperchest, around my upper arm, and the patch on my face is HUGE. Well, Ihave extremely sensitive skin, so I figured it was a bad reaction tothe bug bite medicine I had been applying. Today I woke up and it'seven worse and as I'm looking in the mirror, my gut instinct was toget into the doctor this morning. Boy am I ever glad I did--poisonivy. And I'm having a pretty severe reaction, apparently. :P So nowI'm on a steroid for two weeks. I don't care what it takes, I justwant the itching to stop! :)Anyway, the Wendie Plan is working awesome so far! Now keep in mindthat I was terribly bloated from TOM before starting this, but I'vedropped 6 pounds since my weigh-in Monday--woo hoo! Don't know howthe steroid is going to affect the weight loss, but I'll keepfollowing the plan and just weigh-in next week, then again once I'moff of it.Hope everyone has a fantastic weekend!-Bonnie

I feel for you. Hubby gets it so bad he has to go and gets shots for his. Anyway, the Wendie Plan is working awesome so far! Now keep in mindthat I was terribly bloated from TOM before starting this, but I'vedropped 6 pounds since my weigh-in Monday--woo hoo! Thats great!!!! I wouldnt have thought it would have worked so soon! Don't know howthe steroid is going to affect the weight loss, but I'll keepfollowing the plan and just weigh-in next week, then again once I'moff of it.Once again hubby was on steroids a long time for a illness. It will make you quite bloated looking. But you probably won't be on them but a very short time for the ivy so hopefully you won't see much of that.

I need to do that Wendee plan....Wasn't that impressive?I had my first real gain today at ww (THREE POUNDS!!!) and I am totally bummed and afraid that this is the beginning of the end....any advice? Yeah, DONT GIVE UP!Words of encouragement??Don't let it get you down. It will come back off if you stick with whatever plan you are on. I have come to find I have to give myself a 3 pound lead way for going up and down. My weight seems to go in and down in 3 pound increments. Now if I ever get to a 4 pound difference I start to panic. It will start to come back down if you don't give up and go back to eating wrong. Or maybe you could do like Bonnie and try that Wendee plan. It seems to have been what she needed.XOKathey

Bonnie,

Bummer about the poison ivy but congrats on the loss.

I've never had poison ivy so I'm probably not allergic to it. I've been exposed

to it many times. My dad doesn't react to it but my mom is terribly allergic to

it.

Thanks for the encouragement....I have 2 choices as I look at the next 6 months...I can blow this and gain my weight back, OR I can choose to continue on the way I have been and get even MORE weight off.....I have lost 34 pounds in 4 months, so not a speedy loss, but I think a healthy loss....I think what has gotten me so bummed is the fact that I had set a 'goal' of 50 pounds by the time we go to Sturgis (a huge motorcycle rally in South Dakota) in August and now that I 'may' fall short of that I am stressing....that is why my ww leader said it is WONDERFUL to set goals, just don't set a TIMEFRAME on those goals because if we don't meet 'our' timeframe, we tend to think we have failed and then we all know what happens next!!! SOOOOO I am 'trying' not to focus on the 50 by August and just focus on today....ÜÜÜ

You guys, as always, are WONDERFUL!!! Thanks for all you do to keep me motivated!!! I know I can do this....I have to...

Have a blessed Saturday!Kathey

Oh Bonnie, Sooooo sorry to hear about the poison ivy. I hope that gets cleared up soon for you. I have never had it, but what I've seen on TV about it is no fun at all. Also I wanted to say congrats on losing another 6 pounds that is great! Keep us posted on how the Wendie Plan is going. If I don't start losing more weight soon. I might try something else out and maybe look into the Wendie Plan. from MO.

Yep. The goal of losing 50 pounds is great but you can't really control the

time frame. Just keeping eating healthy and exercising and you'll get there

when your body is ready.

I am doing 1 pound a week.but I think a healthy loss....They say it is better to lose no more then 2 pounds a week. So I think your weight loss is doing great! I think what has gotten me so bummed is the fact that I had set a 'goal' of 50 pounds by the time we go to Sturgis (a huge motorcycle rally in South Dakota) We have a Sturgis bike rally here in Ky too. I never go.Thanks for all you do to keep me motivated!!!Ditto! You are always so cheerful:) I know I can do this....I have to...Yes you can!
