Perhaps you just hit them at a time when both their server and yours were experiencing heavy traffic. They are definitely worth the time to investigate. I have recieved one order of samples from them already (got it within a week) and they are sending me a second request for samples with no questions asked. In the upper right hand corner there is a pull down menu that lets you choose which kind of product (in this case " essential oils " ), and which currency (US or Canadian $). The second doesn't really apply to you if you're looking for free samples (unless you're curious to see how much they cost and what sizes they are available in). Click on " show products " and the list of essential oils they sell comes up on your screen (there are 10 pages of eoils). Note down the ten that you want and send an email to info@... saying which ten samples you would like, that you understand that they are free and what your address is. I received an acknowledging email the next day and the samples were delivered within 4 days (but I live in a neighbouring city). They ship their Canadian orders out of Richmond, BC and their American orders out of Blaine, Washington. The samples are fairly large: 5 ml size (.17 fl oz). I haven't tried to submit a second order for samples but understand from some people on this list that they will send you subsequent sample packs. It's a great way to try scents you are unfamiliar with (I still need to order litsea cubeba - don't have a clue what that smells like!). Hope this helps. But on another list I shared my experiences with it and I will share here.......I made some (what I thought) was wonderful soap--one was litsea with cedarwood and other eos, the other was rosemary with a touch of litsea---two of my " testers " hated it! Said it smelled like lemon pledge and was not a " true " lemon--thought maybe I should use it to clean the toilet. Another person purchased the rosemary/litsea soap and later told me that several people had commented on it being a great scent.........so, just be aware that not everyone likes litsea! Also, I made a rosemary/litsea cream from the same combo of eo and it is absolutely one of my favorites! Also, a little litsea goes a long way--good luck! And some of them are quite spendy? I hear about the samples being ordered ( " and they even do samples of their more expensive eos! " ), and how nice the company is and how big the samples are, but I don't hear anyone saying " yes, I bought... " . In my eyes, if you don't have any intent on buying from them, ordering the samples is much like shoplifting. Yes, it is a service they provide...but they won't continue to do so if no one orders their eos from them. Just something I had to get off my chest, returning to lurkdom now. I too will send out free samples, but it is very difficult to keep doing so when someone just wants the samples and doesn't order. Most people just don't understand the quantities that you have to purchase not to mention the cost involved in order to supply essential oils. Most people think it is a citrus though it really comes from a tree (as opposed to the fruit). It's aromatherapy properties are similar to that of lemongrass. I hope everyone notes that ordering samples just because they are 'free' means the cost of the oils goes up for those who really buy. In today's 'letter' she raved about FRS-plus (low calorie orange) drinks. If you poke around on their site, you can get a free sample (16 servings, I believe) of the drink (be sure to get low cal) OR a 30-chew sample pack...either way, all you pay is shipping (which *really* isn't bad).
