Guest guest
's Daily MessageWednesdayMay 10, 2006 THE BROKEN PROMISE Before I left for the cruise, I made myself a promise that this cruise would be my last. I have loved doing all my cruises, but they are very hard on me physically and emotionally. I told everyone that works with me that it would be my last. I told you that, too, but when I walked into our first orientation meeting on the Cruise to Lose, I knew that promise I made to me and others would have to be broken. You see, about 50 percent of the people who came to cruise with me had gained weight since the last time I saw them. Some had gained 10-20 pounds, others 50-100. I was in much pain during that meeting. I saw so many sad sets of eyes. A few who came on the cruise were using canes and walkers, and I remember when they didn`t have to use those things. The first thing I said to everyone was to forget about their weight gain and focus on their weight loss. I told them there was nothing they could do about their weight gain except try their best to get the pounds off again. I knew they heard me loud and clear. For the next day, I saw more people using their FoodMover during their meals. I watched them work harder when they exercised. I saw them spending time with those who had lost weight and kept it off. I told them if they did their best during the week, I would have an announcement for them at the Farewell Party on Friday. And when that party rolled around, I told them all I would do one more cruise, and I wanted to see all of them come back thinner and healthier next year. They all screamed with excitement and glee! I gave them all a challenge from now to next April, and tomorrow, I will present that challenge to all of you in my message! On April 22, 2007, Carnival`s beautiful ship, the Valor, will leave Miami and sail to Nassau in the Bahamas and St. and St. Maarten in the Virgin Islands. My sweet , who has booked all of my cruises, is taking a little time off. She will begin taking reservations July 5, and her number is 1-800-637-8124. My dogs were a little upset when I broke the news to them, but when I told them I needed to take one last cruise with my sea family, I believe they understood. Will you cruise with me next year?
