Well this weekend showed a grand total of a 10 lb weight loss over 1 month. Down to 266.1. Now unfortunately I ate some really good deserts on Sunday night so going to have to do a lot of walking- but oh that chocolate cake will bring back memories. I figure going to have to burn an extra 1000 calories to pay myself back for eating those goodies. So its walking 4 miles a day instead of 3 miles and instead of only doing it 3 times during the week going to have to work on doing it every day Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday , Friday and Saturday. Also getting in about 4 strength training episodes of about 20 minutes each should help me pay myself back for that little bit of heaven that I enjoyed on Sunday. I know that is a little rough on myself however I do have to do something to punish myself and make it a little harder so that I don't think I can cheat and make up all the time. I guess what I need to remember is if I'm going to cheat- do it with something that you consider worth the extra workouts you are going to have to do to get back on track. Oh- that cake I believe was worth it! A little touch of heaven on earth DEFINATELY!!!!

Well this weekend showed a grand total of a 10 lb weight loss over 1 month. Down to 266.That's excellent! I envy you:) 1. Sometimes its worth it ans sometimes it isn't. Boy, it sure had better been good. Sounds like you are gonna pay for it:) I know that is a little rough on myself however I do have to do something to punish myself and make it a little harder so that I don't think I can cheat and make up all the time. I guess what I need to remember is if I'm going to cheat- do it with something that you consider worth the extra workouts you are going to have to do to get back on track. Oh- that cake I believe was worth it! Well as long as it was worth it and you are gonna work it off. :) A little touch of heaven on earth DEFINATELY!!!! Sounds as if you did enjoy it! Now just keep envisioning that piece of cake the whole time you are doing the extra walking.LOL All kidding aside, You do need to allow yourself some good sinful foods sometime but you have to do as you are doing and plan for them and make sure you put in the extra exercise and cut back on the calories to make up for it. Most of us say we are gonna do that but then never follow though. As I sat here reading and answering my mail I'm having a slimfast shake for breakfast. I never buy"diet" food but this came at the right time. My granddaughter had her tonsils out recently and my daughter bought her these slimfast drinks to try and help her nutrionally. And she hated them. So they brought them to me. I have one left. I figured since I am trying to get back on the wagon today it was a good morning to drink one for breakfast.Loved seeing your 10 lbs in one month. I would so love to see 8 lbs in one month!

The dessert sounds wonderful Lori. Don't be too hard on yourself and beat yourself up (punish) for it... I can hear what you are saying though, just don't want you to get too rigid with yourself and set yourself up for a binge. A little leeway is ok.

Be kind to yourself. Instead of thinking about punishing yourself how about

saying you chose the chocolate cake and now you're choosing to add some

extra exercise. Be careful not to injure yourself with the extra workouts.

Your body needs recovery time.
