ONLY GOT TODAY

So how was your yesterday? Did your troubles seem so far away? Chances are

you had some nice things happen to you yesterday, and there may be a chance

someone got you upset or you got upset all by yourself. No matter what

happened yesterday, it is over the rainbow, Dorothy. That day will never

happen again as long as you live.

Some people live their lives in their yesterdays, and well, that`s not a

very good place to live. If you overate yesterday, what can you do about it?

Really nothing. That was yesterday, and you can`t change it in any way. You

can`t take back what you ate. While some people think about the past too

much, there are others who think about their future too much. They think

about their job and how they can get a better one and a better one. They

think about money and how to make more of it and how to save more and buy a

new car and a new house. They think about their retirement and where they

will live. Florida? Hawaii? Arizona?

I believe it is very good to think about our future but not to be obsessed

about it. You can make lots of plans, but guess what? You don`t have

tomorrow yet! You won`t know if there`s a tomorrow in your future until you

open your eyes tomorrow.

So if you don`t have your yesterdays anymore, and you don`t have your

tomorrow yet, then what do you have? You`ve only got today! That`s it,

TODAY! You should spend more of your time figuring out how to make today a

great day. Eating nutritious meals will make it a great day for your body,

and so will an hour of aerobics or walking. Getting up in a good mood will

help start your great day. Sitting down and planning all the projects you

have to do in the morning and accomplishing them will make you feel great

about your productivity. Being nice to yourself and others will help you

have a great day, too.

My whole day is planned from phoners to meetings to my personal workout to

my class at Slimmons and a radio show meeting directly after that. But the

first item on my list was to write this message to you, and I hope, like me,

you will seize today.
