GOODBYE CALIFORNIA!

I know this may come as a shock to many of you, but I`m leaving California.

I have been here going on 37 years, and it`s really been great for me. I

could have never had the career I have if it wasn`t for taking the chance to

move to Los Angeles.

As you know, I`ve been spending a lot of time in Toronto, Canada. The

company that does my new videos and audio CDs is located there. I`ve been

going to Toronto since " General Hospital " days, and I`ve always found it

intriguing. Plus, those Canadians think I`m so darn cute! Well, I`m not only

here to do my class and the Shopping Channel; I`m here looking at houses! I

think it`s time I go to the next level of my career and open myself up to

new adventures. Of course, my housekeepers are coming with me, and so are a

few of my staff from Slimmons. and her husband are looking for a place,

too, and just today, Elijah said he`ll take the move with me!

I guess I`m just tired of the sunshine all the time and the pretty people,

and frankly, I`m tired of doing aerobics. How many times do I have to do leg

lifts to Donna Summer`s " Love to Love You, Baby " ? While I was in Toronto in

the winter, I started taking up some sports. I`m pretty good on the slopes

now, and I`ve traded those tank tops and shorts in for ski suits!

I`ve thought long and hard about these decisions, but I also have to think

about me. I`ve met some really nice people here who work for the government,

and I think I may get involved with a few political issues here that are

near to my heart. I mean, I know I`ve done a good job helping you all, but

do you know how many people don`t know how to ski well? I think I`ll open a

little resort, and maybe you`ll come up and spend some time with me in

Toronto!

I hope this news has not disappointed you. I had to tell you today and see

if I could… FOOL YOU! Happy April Fool`s!
