I am one that hates to shop on a budget, but it is so important to a single mom ;-) I know I qualify for a Costco card and my mom might go in on the cost of some of this stuff and share.... otherwise, those prices aren't bad.... And, I just realized that I made a mistake in that letter...but...it's something that I'm kinda passionate about....I typed that you could get 20 1/2 cup servings of pineapple from one pineapple.........that'd be one MONSTER pineapple! LOL.....I meant from 2 of them.... =)Another cheap (VERY cheap) healthy food item that is SO good for you on so many levels is oatmeal (BIG container, not the packets with the added junk).....cheap & healthy....add a splash of vanilla & sprinkle of cinnamon........yum!..........no need for the fatty butter & brown sugar........if needed....Splenda makes a great brown sugar substitute that could be sprinkled on top.... (and I don't want to hear <read?> anyone say "But I don't have the time in the morning....".....Quick oats can be made in 1 minute........about the same amount of time that it takes for a pop tart....less time than it takes to drive through McD's and get an Egg McMuffin.....you get my drift....).
