's Daily MessageSaturdayApril 22, 2006FOLLOW DIRECTIONSI love creating cookbooks with fabulous recipes that I know you will enjoy! First, I come up with an idea. I then write my grocery list and go shopping. Then the real work begins. Sometimes I have to make a recipe 6-8 times to put together the right ingredients in the correct portions. It is time consuming, but well worth it!Well, I know people who take my recipes and omit this and put in that and change the portions, and well, it`s not my recipe anymore. It`s theirs! It doesn`t quite look or taste the same! There are directions to do everything and go everywhere. Every product in every store comes with directions, from cough syrup to IKEA furniture. Weight loss comes with directions, too. I was browsing at the book store last night, and I flipped through many diet books that were on the "50% Off" table. Each of them came with certain directions on how to eat. I stood there and read them and had a few laughs. My SlimAway program using the FoodMover comes with directions, too, but if you follow the directions carefully, you will drop pounds in a safe and healthy manner! Now there are some of you out there that don`t follow the directions of the FoodMover. You take it upon yourself to change the amount of calories you should be eating. There are some food groups you don`t really like, so you omit them and eat more of the food groups that please your appetite. You can`t imagine how many different concoctions of the FoodMover are out there, and you know what? All these people who decide to do their own version of my weight loss program never lose weight! What do you think that means? It means that their weight loss version was not balanced, did not make nutritional sense, and had no merit. If you are not seeing the scale numbers go down, then you are definitely doing something wrong. So stop what you`re doing immediately and start on my program that is livable! Oh, and when you cook this weekend from my cookbooks or others, follow the directions to a T, and your dishes will come out tres bein!Love,
