Guest guest
's Daily MessageTuesdayApril 25, 2006 OVER 90 PERCENT from Kansas writes, "I am a 53-year-old woman who has recently lost 53 pounds. I am still 265 pounds and obviously need to lose quite a bit more. I have come to a standstill and desperately want to continue to lose. The only thing I am losing is my commitment to do this." Jodi from Massachusetts shares her story with me. "I am almost 30, and I have hit a point that I cannot pass. I have lost 132 pounds, and I now weigh 201 pounds. During my weight loss journey, I had 3 children. I had my last child 6 months ago, and I`m having trouble getting back on track. I am terrified I am going to gain and gain and gain! I never want to be in the 300 pounds again. Actually, I don`t want to be in the 200`s anymore, either. I need to lose another 40 pounds to be at my personal goal and to be the healthiest weight for my height, but lately, I`ve been so hungry, and I don`t know what to do about it." from Washington, DC tells me, "A year ago, I joined Weight Watchers and began to do your tapes. I am very excited to tell you I dropped 71 pounds. It was like a dream come true! I bought a whole new wardrobe, changed my hairstyle, and had my makeup done professionally. Two weeks ago, I went to Florida to visit my parents for a few days, and in that few days, I put on 5 pounds. I am so upset. I can`t believe I did that! Now I feel I will put on another 5 and then another 5, and before I know it, I`ll be 71 pounds heavier. What can I do?" It is not easy to lose weight, but it sure is easy to put it back on! Over 90 percent of Americans who lose weight find it again, and why? Because they detour for so many reasons and stop doing what they were doing. Protect the hard work you put into getting the weight off. How? By staying true to your promises! Remember all the hours you spent preparing all those healthy meals for yourself. Remember all the hours you spent walkin` and sweatin` and tonin`. And remember how good it felt to step on the scale and keep seeing the numbers go down. Hold on to your pride, and don`t slip and slide! Be good to yourself this week. Love,
