FARE WITH THE HARE

How did you fare on the day of the hare? Did you overeat? Did you chow down on too many calories over the first, second, and third course of the day? Did you consume more than your share of the fat grams? Did you get home and feel stuffed and a bit bloated? Did you get angry at yourself? "You are so weak. You said you were gonna stay on program for the whole day, and you didn`t make it past noon. You say you want to lose the weight. Yeah, right. You`re fatter now than you were this morning! What a loser you are."

Did you make some promises to yourself before bedtime? "That`s it… that was the last time I`m going to eat like that. It disgusts me how I just shovel all that food in. Well, not anymore! I`m gonna change my evil ways. Tomorrow I`m going to starve to get these extra pounds off that I gained during the Easter holiday."

And the day after many major holidays, millions of people around our fine country decide to take a break from eating. There are two stages of starvation. The first one is to drop your calories below 500. The second is when you`re not eating any calories at all! Either way, you`re doing a great disservice to your body. Did you forget why we eat in the first place?

Food is nourishment! Food contains essential vitamins and minerals. It contains building blocks for our bones and muscles. Food contains amino acids and antioxidants that protect you. It contains the life your body needs to function mentally and physically. When the body does not eat balanced meals, it suffers and weakens.

I don`t know what you had to eat yesterday. I don`t know if you put a few pounds of chocolate on your hippity-hoppity hips, but I know this. The best way to lose chocolate hips is by going back on Blast Off week on the FoodMover program. What? You still don`t have a FoodMover? Well, I just made some more up, and they`re in the store right now!

Please remember that starvation is a sort of punishment, and I don`t think you should be punished over this! Reward yourself with healthy meals and daily workouts, and those few pounds you gained will be doggone gone!

Love,
