ISSUES NEED TISSUES

All of us have our issues to deal with every day. We have issues about time.

There just doesn`t seem to be enough of it to go around! We have issues

about our job. Some days we like it, and some days we loathe it. We have

issues about our appearance. There are times we look in the mirror and say,

" I look terrific today. " And other times you wonder who you are looking at!

We have issues about our family. We love them, but sometimes we don`t like

them much. We have issues about the way our country is run. We look at the

nightly news and see all the wars and killings that are going on and wonder

if the right decisions are being made to protect us. We have issues with

those friends we hold dear to our heart. There are moments of harmony and

moments of total frustration. We certainly have issues with our weight and

body image. We have issues with exercise, traffic, and the weather. If you

allow it, you can have issues about everything that happens to you!

There are different ways to face issues. You can do what many do and keep it

all in. When anything bothers you, you just don`t say a word. You just

swallow your issues. My mother was that kind of person, and she ended up

suffering with an ulcer for many years. I believe that holding in your

feelings can cause many serious medical problems, like severe depression,

heart attacks, and strokes.

Well, you know me! I don`t hold anything in! I let it all out – not with

words, but with tears. Yes, that`s right. I have a good old cry! I go off

somewhere where I can be alone and take a box of tissues with me. I do some

soul searching about what is bothering me, while I have myself a good

weeping. My cry fest lasts about 15-20 minutes, and after, I feel so much

better… cleansed in a way!

Just remember this. Certain issues need tissues! Thank you, Kleenex, for

being there for me. ;-)

Love,
