THE WINDOWS KNOW

I am no different from you. I have to be accountable with the food, too. At first, I used to write everything down, but I grew tired, and so did my left hand. That`s why I created Deal-a-Meal in the first place. That way, I just moved the cards from one side of the wallet to the other when I ate that portion of food. Then the FoodMover came to me, and those windows still guide me through each day.

Most of you have a FoodMover or three! I know you know how to figure out the portions and close the appropriate windows, but I don`t know if you are as faithful to the FoodMover as I am. The minute you put the FoodMover away, the accountability comes to a screeching halt. The FoodMover is your bank! After you make a deposit in the bank, you just keep closing your safe. The next day, you open the bank again!

I asked you to take a few minutes the night before and plan the 3 meals and snacks for the next day. Sometimes it`s hard to make time to do this, but you know when you do this, you stay on program better. Even if you forget to plan your food day, the FoodMover forgets nothing! When you open it in the morning, it`s ready to show you how many portions of the 6 food groups you`ll get to eat.

I keep mine in the kitchen at all times. I look at it before I fix my breakfast to figure out what I want, and after I eat that first meal, I close my windows. When it`s time for lunch, I look at the windows I have left for the day. Right then and there, I think about what I`m going to have for dinner and lunch, and then I have to see if I have enough windows for those 2 meals. If not, I`ll just have to sacrifice something. That`s okay, because like I told you, this is all about making food sacrifices. If a holiday meal comes along, I close the windows I know I`ll be eating up and plan my other 2 meals with the windows I have left.

Please know I`ll be on the road traveling around inspecting my FoodMovers. I want them clean! I suggest once in a while, you get some Windex and spray your windows, because sometimes there is a little food left on the finger you`re closing the windows with.

Where do you keep your FoodMover?

Love,
