Guest guest
http://richardsimmons.com/messageoftheday.php 's Daily MessageTuesdayMarch 21, 2006 ALL THE WAY So many people tell me they are really trying to lose weight, but the pounds aren`t dropping. But as I talk with them, a different story is unveiled. Sal from West Virginia has 90 pounds to lose and is a diabetic. He tells me he is on his feet 9 hours a day and is always moving. When I asked him what kind of exercising he was doing, he said, "That`s it! I`m on the go at work!" I asked him if he walked or did some kind of cardio workout, and his answer was no. I asked him if he did any kind of toning, and he said no. I asked him if he stretched his body in the morning and evening, and I think you know what his answer was. Later that same day, I spoke with Luanne from Arizona, who was very unhappy about her weight loss, too. I was asking her about what she was eating, and then the truth came out. "Well, , I do fine except when it comes to sweets. I love eating donuts in the morning and having ice cream while watching television, but besides that, I`m real good! I eat oatmeal, grilled chicken breasts, and lots of salads." I didn`t have to go any further with my questions to Luanne, because I already knew why the scale wasn`t cooperating! These 2 people don`t get it, and I worry that many of you are in the same boat. You cannot count your work as your workout! You may move around at work, but that can`t count as your exercise. You have to make the time to get your cardio, toning, and stretching in every day. But when you exercise, go all the way and give it your best! If you`re still playing around with your eating habits and are still abusing certain food groups, you will never get to your goal weight. You have to go all the way with your eating program and stay within your desired caloric intake! You don`t go halfway with your career, do you? You don`t go halfway with your love when it comes to family and friends, do you? Well, don`t go halfway with your goal of losing the number of pounds you want to lose and looking the way you want to look! Love,
