STEAM MAGIC

Hi, everyone! I hope you`re having a most wonderful day. I`m home now from Chicago, and what a trip it was! I had never been to the Housewares Show in my life. This is the time of year when every manufacturer brings out their new kitchen products. People come from all over the world to see this show.

I got there at about 11:00 AM, and I was overwhelmed by all the thousands of people that were roaming around looking at the new products. As I`ve told you before, I signed with a company called Salton. They are the largest manufacturer of kitchen equipment in the country. I saw some amazing products and met so many amazing people!

In the middle of the Salton booth was a big counter with my new steamers on it! I stood there and demoed the steamer to thousands of people. I got to meet buyers from WalMart, JC Penny, and of course, QVC. Yes, I`m going back to QVC to not only sell my kitchen products, but also my workout CDs and DVDs! I would sit there and talk about the 3 compartments of the steamer. There were 2 sweet ladies helping me demo Steam Heat. I would talk about how great vegetables and starches and proteins and fruits will taste once you steam them correctly.

One of the buyers came up to me and said, ", you are so passionate about this!" I let her know that one of the ways I`ve kept my weight off is by eating healthy, steamed food. I talked all about the new cookbook, "Steam Away the Pounds," and everyone seemed very excited about it!

It`s hard to believe that a year ago, I came to Chicago to pitch Salton several products that I thought could help people cook healthy, and look what happened! We went from a little sketch on a napkin to professional drawings and now to the finished product! I got to meet a lot of people from Salton who helped test the product, and I also met the manufacturers who made it overseas. I will be on QVC in the fourth quarter, and it will be in retail stores all over the country, too!

Have you invented anything? Oh, I`m sure you`ve thought of something unique. Do what I did. Show it to someone. Show it to everyone, and who knows? It may be at the Housewares Show next year!
