Guest guest
's Daily Message Wednesday March 01, 2006 NOT ENOUGH Some of you are not consistently losing weight because you`re not eating enough! Eating enough of the healthy foods, that is. When I was dieting as a kid, I would always want to decrease the number of calories that was prescribed by my doctor. If he wanted me to eat 1000 calories, I would aim for around 700. I always thought that if you ate fewer calories, you would lose weight quicker! I know some of you think this way right now, and it`s the wrong way of thinking! When I created the Deal-a-Meal cards and the FoodMover, I focused in on the 6 food groups and the correct amount of portions you should have if you want to lose weight in a healthy manner. You see, it`s not just about getting thinner. It`s getting thinner, and at the same time improving your health. Your body needs certain nutrients, vitamins, and minerals to keep you going while you take off the weight. 500, 800, or 1000 calories does not cut it! When you get your FoodMover, there are calorie cards that you slide into the case. It is all figured out for you. When I tell people who need to lose a considerable amount of weight how much they have to eat, they faint! Those of you who weigh 300 or more pounds, listen up. For every 50 pounds above 300 pounds, in order to lose weight, a person should add an additional fruit and a protein to the 2000 calorie card. A fruit is 60 calories, and a protein is 75 calories for a total of 135 extra calories. If you weigh 350 pounds, you should be eating 8 proteins, 8 starches, 6 vegetables, 2 dairies, 4 fats, 5 fruits, and 3 extras. If you weigh 500 pounds, you should be eating 11 proteins, 8 starches, 6 vegetables, 2 dairies, 4 fats, 8 fruits, and 6 extras. No matter how much you weigh, one food group you get the same number of portions in is the 4 portions of fat. If you are a Clubhouse member, spend some time this week to go over all your FoodMover info, and if you`re not a member, just think about joining this month. Get the motivation and education you need to get this weight loss job done! Love,
Guest guest
WOW, this is so good! I have been reading all of the messages back and forth about how many calories are necessary to lose weight and today's message (?) sure fit right in. Sue, thanks for being so knowledgeable and/or having the time and energy to research things. I can tell that you are not just "spouting off steam" to type a response, you are truely knowledgeable (IMHO)... keep it up! ~
