NERVOUS AND EXCITED

After I finish my radio show on Sunday, I will leave for the airport,

because I`m Chicago bound! In several of my previous messages, I talked

about my new invention for a company named Salton. They created the

Forman Grill. I met with them last year and showed them what I created.

About 10 years ago, I was in a restaurant, and I sketched a kitchen item on

a napkin. I felt every household should have one. What is it? It`s an

incredible food steamer like no other! When I met with Salton, I took out

the little napkin and explained my idea. Now let me explain it to you!

There are 3 compartments in the steamer. Let`s say in the first compartment,

you put cut up broccoli; in the second, brown rice; and in the third, a

chicken breast. You then set a timer for each compartment. For broccoli, you

press 9, for the brown rice, 20, and for the chicken, 14. You close the lid

on the compartments and press start. Since the rice takes the longest, that

compartment starts steaming first. Six minutes later, the chicken begins to

steam. And 5 minutes later, the broccoli starts. When the bell rings, all

the food is ready at the same time.

It is so fantastic! Food never tasted so good. The broccoli is al dente, the

rice fluffy, and the chicken tender and moist. I'm in the process of testing

recipes in the new steamer, because I'm working on a new cookbook called

" Steam Away the Pounds, and the steamer is called " Steam Heat " !

On Monday morning, my steamer will premiere at the Housewares Show at

McCormack Place in Chicago! This is the largest housewares show of its kind

in the world. Buyers from all over will be there to see the new products for

the year. Salton is really jazzed about the steamer and believes it will

teach people the healthiest way of preparing food.

The steamer is sitting next to me while I write you all. I can`t wait for

you to see it and try it! Later on this year, I`ll be going to QVC to

present it, and it will be in leading retailers everywhere. So I`m a bit

nervous and a lot excited to show everyone my new baby of an idea. I`ll tell

you all about it when I get back!
