Guest guest
Hi , I think most of us have this problem from time to time. All I can tell you is what helps me, and that's having a very short exercise tape to pop in so I don't have an excuse. I have the " power mile " or something along those lines--it's only 12 mins long, I think. Then, when I wake up at 5:30 (so I can exercise without an audience), I think " it's only 12 mins, I can do anything for 12 mins " and by the time I brush my teeth and get into my shorts and shoes, I usually feel like doing more. Honestly, I just don't give myself the option to *not* exercise. If I exercise three or four days in a row and really don't want to do it the next day, I take a day off. But I find that if I have a fairly regular schedule (Wednesdays off, for example), I stick to it better. Is there something different you'd like to try that would maybe get you interested again? Water aerobics, Jazzercise, anything like that? Maybe a week or two of something different would help to get you going? I know it's hard to find the motivation sometimes, but you can do it! You are soooo close to that mini-goal, so don't give up now! By the way, I really like the way you're doing your mini-goal for your last number--I'm going to do that as well. It's not so overwhelming that way. -Bonnie 338/291/280 (mini-goal) > > Hi there friends, > > For a while there I was doing so good on my exercising. Now it seems that I am in some sort of in a slump. I can't get excited about exercising like I was. I don't know what changed. I know I need to exercise, but I am having a hard time getting myself to do it. I know if I exercise I will lose weight. I want to lose the weight. So what is stopping me? Today I have a runny nose and a slight headache and just don't feel good, and I just don't feel like exercising. I so want to get to my first goal. It is just so close, but it seems so far at the same time. How do I get this turned around? How can I get excited about exercising again. I do notice that on cold days it is harder for me to want to exercise then it is on nice days, and today is a cold day. Does any one else have that with cold days and nice days? > > > 340/300.8/299 > I was putting the last number to the goal that I want to end with, but think I will start putting the last number as the goal that I have next on my list. Guest guest
, I get that way when it's raining. I don't want to exercise, I want to stay in bed and red or play video games. These are the days when I find alternative things to do. As long as we are doing things that we are normally not doing then I would count it as exercise. On raining days I: Organize my desk and drawers Sweep and mop the floors Scrub the tub (we share bathrooms and showers with other members, so they always need cleaning) <memyselves@...> wrote: Hi there friends, For a while there I was doing so good on my exercising. Guest guest
First of all, ! You are doing great!!!! Don't beat yourself up. I know that exercising can be a chore...especially when your bones are cold. What I do is while I am vegging in front of the TV. I get up during the commercials and WALK in place or do some movement. Did you know that most prime time commercial breaks are 4.5 - 5 minutes long? Just one 1 hour program and you have 25 minutes of exercise! Go figure! Maybe that would help... Guest guest
I thought the mini goal thing would really help me see that I am not as far away from it as I some times think I am I hope it helps you too. 340/300.8/299 Re: Re: Exercise Bluesoh yeah! Guest guest
I hate to clean house, but I know it needs to be done, and that is a form of exercise isn't it? I might try that on the cold days when I don't want to exercise. Thanks for the idea. 340/300.8/299 Re: Exercise Blues,I get that way when it's raining. Today being one of them. I just didnt feel well, have hives all over my face but knew I needed to go. so I went. i didnt give 100% today but I did go and I did get some exercise in. For me that is all I am doing is pushing myself. I hope you can find something that works for you. Good luck, and hang in there.
Guest guest
Exercising during the commercials. Not a bad idea. Thanks! I might just try that, because I do watch a lot of TV at night. I might just try and make that a goal tonight. 340/300.8/299 Re: Exercise BluesFirst of all, !You are doing great!!!! Don't beat yourself up.
