When I was a little overweight kid, people weren`t very kind to me. They just saw my size, and they put me down. These people didn`t know anything about me, but because I had a weight problem, they simply thought I was stupid and didn`t care about myself. When I went to high school over 200 pounds, insults were thrown my way every day. Sometimes other students would say things to my face. Other times, they would just snicker when I would walk by. When I`d go to my desk in the morning, there`d always be a note from someone in the class who made fun of me.

Why aren`t people more kind? When I began my career and opened Slimmons, I would make sure that all the people that were laughed at or made fun of were only going to find kindness at Slimmons, for we don`t judge anyone! We love them unconditionally. After all these years, people still make fun of me. They make fun of my hair, my tops and shorts, the way I speak, and other things. In our society, you can`t make jokes about certain kinds of people, but fat jokes are still the rage, and when I hear them I get furious!

For all you Club members, Monday is a very important auditorium, one that I surely hope you won`t miss. The topic will be FINDING INNER KINDNESS. When someone makes fun of me and is not very kind, I actually take a deep breath and say a little prayer for that person, and you should do the same! Monday night, we`ll chat about being kind to everyone, and most importantly about being kind to yourself!

Some of you are not very kind to yourselves. Some of you are too judgmental. Some of you put yourselves down in private and in public. Sometimes you`re not very kind to yourself when you see your reflection in the mirror. Yes, kindness must start within you, so I want you to join me MONDAY evening at 5:15 PM PST and 8:15 PM EST! You know, Valentine`s Day is just around the corner, so this is a month you should love and be more kind to yourself than ever!

I want to thank you all for your lovely emails about my appearances on the shows that I`ve done in New York. I got to meet some wonderful people. I so loved talking about being kind to others! So please pencil in this AUDITORIUM with me!
