I was just sitting here and I wrote down one more goal that I have for when I release some more weight (ride the big carousel at the park downtown - IMHO at my weight, I am still a little to large to feel comfortable) and it made me realize: January is almost over. That sounds like a great goal. One of my goals when I reach 180 is going to an amusement park and ride rides. I haven't that in what feels like forever! It's hard to believe Spring will be here before we realize it! How is your month going, overall? Are you meeting your goals of drinking water, moving your body a little each day and eating a little healthier? I did pretty good with my water and exercise this month. It was my goal to increase my walking steps to at least 10K a month and I have gotten there *most* days (praise God). And, with joining the Curves 6-week Challenge, I am making even better choices with my foods. I tell you, until you are really being honest with yourself and writing down EVERY thing you eat, you have no clue (even as a TWer that doesn't like to limit her choices or place limits on the calories consumed, etc.) I totally agree with you about being honest with yourself and writing down everything that goes in your mouth! I think being honest and taking the time to write down everything that enters my mouth is keeping me on track and honest with myself about my weight. My month is going ok. Could have been better and could have been worse. I am meeting my goals for drinking water and moving alittle bit everyday, and also eating healthier then I have in the past. What are your new goals for February going to be: adding regimens to your day, or staying with the same goals and increasing the value of them? Same: get my 8 glasses of water in, move my body each day (aiming for 10K steps a day still) and trying new recipes! I would like to see myself release 4-8 lbs this month and some inches... kinda wishy washy on the pounds to go, but it is 1-2 lbs a week ;-) Excellent goals! I think my goals for February will be basically what they were for January. Get my 8 glasses of water, move my body (On my wish list, I have a YMCA membership) but a 3-5 times a walk in the park would be good too, and continue making healthy food choices. I would like to lose 8 -10 (2-2.5 pounds a week) in February. Do you give yourself rewards for meeting your daily goals and/or your weight loss goals? I'm really going to be doing this. I have gotten a couple of clothing outfits, but that is a given out of need LOL... I still have yet to buy that new scale I was talking about, but might go for a new blender instead, mine is toast. Whatever it is going to be needs to wait a couple of weeks for the money-issue ;-) Those are excellent rewards. I bought a new scale in January when I committed myself to losing this weight for good! I saw a smoothie maker and smoothie recipe book at Walmart the other day and combined they cost $21.00, which isn't bad. I totally understand the money issue of rewards! It's hard to buy healthy foods and reward yourself for doing it daily! I don't really reward myself for daily goals met, but I did reward myself for an 8 pound loss in January. I got my hair cut and highlighted. Small but still good reward for me. Thanks for Sharing! Have a great week coming up! Hope you have a great week! You are doing great sweetie!
