Guest guest
Hi all, I need some advice about "graduation". Briefly, my son Adam has been wearing his Starband since 10-1-01 and is now just about 9 months old. We have definately seen improvement with the roundness of his head however there is still some asymmetry in the back. His forehead is even and ears are just about even. As far a facial asymmerty, I still notice it, but my husband does not...so I'm sure it's very mild at this point. So my problem is this: we had our followup with the neurosurgeon and he was pleased with Adam's progress. He felt that we could just have Adam sleep in the helmet and he said "the rest will round out on it's own" That statement makes me very nervous....we've heard it so many times before. I'm not sure what to do about the helmet though. And frankly I am very concerned about re-flating. So my questions are: when do you think that you graduate? Does the head re-flaten a bit after you stop wearing the helmet (fyi: Adam still sleeps on his back)? Thanks in advance & Happy New Year!
