Hi guys:

Now Abby has the flu - she must've caught it from Joe's son or Kellie's !

My sister called me at work this afternoon, Abby woke up with a 102 temp. I brought her home & she threw up everywhere in the carseat (yuk!). She's feeling much better since throwing up though. Dr. said the flu is really bad right now. Everyone is getting it.

On another note: Did/do your kids have a bloody fit when you bring em to the dr? Abby is 22.5 mos old. Oh man, she's rotten there. She kicks, hits, screams the entire time we're there. It's horrible. I have such a hard time controlling her - she just goes absolutely crazy. I can't take her alone any more, she's too heavy & strong for me to handle. Dr. said this is normal, but geez!

Debbie-

Sorry my gave your Abby the flu. It must be traveling hundreds of miles to get from Washington to Michigan! Hopefully it will be shortlived like 's flu. it is so awful. About the doctor, yes, knows now when he is in a dr's office. They just try to measure the circumference of his head and he has an absolute fit!

Hope Abby feels so much better soon!

Whew!! Glad to hear it wasn't my fault! I'm sorry to hear that Abby

has the flu. Stock up on those pedialyte pops, they were a lifesaver

in our house when we had the flu. I hope she gets over it really

quick, but we were sick here for over a week (but then again, I think

we just kept giving it to each other) In fact, we're still trying to

shake the cough.

Each of my kids have gone through the phase where they become the

devil reincarnate whenever we step foot into the doctors office.

outgrew it by the time he was 2, Patch was 3 before he learned

to settle down, and I'm praying for the day that the twins outgrow

this! I swear by the time our appointments are over the doctor, the

nurse and myself all need a stiff drink! I really think that I'm

going to make my husband start doing doctor's appointments because

I'm running out of brown hair...it's all going grey!

I'll keep my fingers crossed that she gets over the flu and her fear

of the doctor really quick. Be sure to take care of yourself too,

you don't want to catch it!

Debbie,

Yikes - poor little Abby! I hope mom doesn't get it too!

I'm sure your little sweetie will outgrow the doctor anxiety at some point. I

guess the dr ain't no friend to Abby! LOL! went for her 2 year old

well-baby check up yesterday and actually did really well. We dicussed how

the appointment would go before we went in and I guess she understood what I

said because she didn't seem surprised at anything that happened. She even

opened her mouth, stuck out her tongue and said " Ahh " when he went to look in

her mouth. She put on QUITE a show for the ped. Normally she does NOT care

for him (ever since her hospitalization), but yesterday she was golden. Go

figure - the kid amazes me sometimes.

Here's hoping that Abby is back to normal in no time!

Debbie,

*sniffle* hope your little Abby gets better soon- that is the pits!

was just at the Doc and was such a handful! I was trying to put on his diaper and he was just wrestling with me like he was mini-the-rock, and the nurse was like, "is he always like that?" I was so embarrassed that she had to distract him just so I could put on his diaper! I felt like loser mommy! Hate to say it Deb, but I'm glad I'm not alone :)

Hi Debbie!!!

I just wanted to say hello to you (and everyone!!) I hope Abby is

feeling better today. I just hate it when babies (toddlers) throw

up...they don't have a clue as to what's going on and it is so

scary!!! Luckily the big bad flu has not hit our house yet this

year...knock on wood.... hopefully it won't!!! Take care and stay

well!! (remember, Moms can't be sick!!!!)

P.S. I think Evan is hitting the terrible horrific 2's a few months

early....he is wild!!!! I truly cannot take him anywhere!!! He

hates being in a stroller, runs willy nilly whenever (and where ever)

he can....it is wearing me to a thread!!! Hope your darling Abby is

not doing the same!!! ~:o)

Hi !!!!

I'm SO happy to hear from you again! It's been ages since we'd

last " talked " . Abby is MUCH better today, back to her normal fiery

self. Thank goodness. Although the calm, cuddly sick Abby was nice

for once (selfish huh?).

I swear Evan & Abby are long lost twins. They seem to have the same

attitude as each other. Abby's doing well (outside of the Dr.

visits). She's calming down and is actually listening to me

sometimes now. When is Evan's bday?

Give Evan a kiss for me......keep in touch :)
