Leave any kind of medication or chemical out of my water. Go to my fluoride pages and post the MOST technical article you can find http://www.nccn.net/~wwithin/fluoride.htm Good work Sara - How's the baby? Guest guest
Me thinks the good doctor has not brushed up on the latest information... : ) What about the studies that showed fluoride in drinking water does NOT promote healthy teeth? What about the countries that have banned fluoride from their drinking water (Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, Sweden, Netherlands, Norway)?? Sounds like this is the first time he's ever heard mention of the possibility of fluoride being harmful. Where has he been??? http://www.newconnexion.net/article/05-03/jmartin.html http://www.shirleys-wellness-cafe.com/fluoride.htm Kay (I'll bet he thinks vaccines are the greatest things since sliced bread, too!) ******************* I posted in the community's board about my concern about the forced fluoridation of New Jersey's waters: -------------------------------------- Let's be informed about fluoride in our waters They want to fluoridate our waters in New Jersey. I have seen the ravages of children who have not had the benifits of fluoride in the water and I have seen children who have been lucky enough to have fluoride in the water. As a Dentist I could have made a fortune by not advocating flouride, but I chose that path of helping people and that ment adding or adjusting the fluoride level to optimum levels where people could spend their lives with little or no tooth decay and be able to enjoy their food pain free. This has been proven by all of the health organzations of the world to be a safe and proven means of coltrolling a disease. We do not need people like you who want to see a return to suffering. I have seen all of the false articles that have been written on the subject. Maybe you should read some of the scientific literature and not the propaganda that is put out by the anti-fluoridationists. This is not a communist plot to kill the world. It will not kill off mankind. It will not eat your water pipes. It will help to improve your general health be enabling you to eat better. It will improve your financial position by negating the need for expensive and often times painful dental work. In the proper amounts, which is approximately 1 part per million of water, Fluoride is very safe. These amounts have to be properly adjusted according to temperatures of the area, but it is very easy to do. I am well versed in all aspects of the discussion. I don't believe that you are, or you wouldn't be making this claim that fluoride is unsafe. ---------------------------- so what shall I tell him? and thank you sherri for your advice and interest about the baby. I considered calling my homeopath but thankfully The baby is getting better. she stopped throwing up, but her eyes and nose still emit phelgm. this morning she woke up with one eye open and the other eye was glued shut by the dry phelgm. (I had to wash it off with soft tissue with warm waters) otherwise she is fine. abt my son he coughs less and less. few days I forced him to take vitamins, same vitamins course my homeopath gave me when he had same symptoms last 2 tears ago. but now as he gets better he DEMANDS these vitamins! he stomps his legs on the floor and shrilly screams: gimme vitamin C! gimmie multivitamin! gimmie achidoplus! (he perfectly pronounces these fancy words, lol) his nose is less and less stuffy, and finally he agrees to drink here and there. he used to refuse to drink at all. the turn around in his recovery started when I prepared preboiled salt waters, and put drops of it in his nose, he stopped breating so loudly. he didn't blow his nose out, he just blowed\sucked in, and I could hear him swallowing the tons of phelgm inside his nose. both baby and shalom still behave clingy and whiny, but much better finally they laugh and play. the baby babbles and smiles, as shalom laughs and sings. But in today in the first half of the Hanukkah party he was whiny and clingy and screaming :-( only toward the end of the party he got his usual happy bright mood. Through kissing and using other peoples utensils it can be transmitted from one person to another. In poor families they don't have the the choice of doing a lot of things for them selves. Just as we mass protect the population by the addition of Chlorine, the first cousin to Fluorine to the water to protect the population from infection, we protect the population from one of the most contagious of diseases. It may not be a disease that puts you at risk of death, but it puts your health at risk. Did you know that the use of fluoride in adults prevents brittle bones? The cause of most of the elderly falling down and breaking hips. After that they are rarely the same. In a community, we must think of the health of the community. Instead of taking your stance where a few people will benefit from the added expense of taking fluoride, why don't you take the stance of, " I don't want it for my family. I will take the extra expense and buy bottled water and then I don't have to have the fluoride in my system " ? Doesn't that make more sense. Then the community can benefit and those that don't want it can refuse it and use other means. Your way the great majority that do want it have to be inconvienced by the few who don't want it. We live in a democracy where the wants of the many supercede the wants of the few. No one is making you drink water with fluoride in it, but you want all the people to bend to your wishes and you don't seem to care if they benefit from it or not. If you don't want the benefits, don't drink it. It is your right, but don't tell me what I can and can not do.
Guest guest
Except that he talks about 1 part per million of water thinking that we're only getting that little bit, meanwhile it's everywhere, in our soda, our coffee and tea, our cooking water, our toothpaste, etc I would think we're all getting TOO much. And he talks about the small minority of folks that don't want fluoride buying bottled water. The small minority is not so small anymore - autism is 1 in 166, children with autism cannot properly excrete metals, hence cannot excrete fluoride. > to which the dentist answered: > s, the dental term for tooth decay is contagious. Guest guest
A fair rebuttal I would have to admit on his part. The chlorine in the water is the first reason I chose to filter my water in Australia. Does anyone know if water filters actually filter out the flouride?? However, his answer still doesn't acknowledge the fact that flouride is actually dangerous, and somehow I don't think it will matter what you say, he's not about to change his mind. Good on you for trying though, and even if he doesn't " get it " maybe some other people on the list will.... Guest guest
Hi Sheri I realise this is OT, but I just had a quick question about the water filters. If the water is chlorinated from the tap and then filtered, does this then mean that you don't need to purify it? Thanks Deb > > > > > >A fair rebuttal I would have to admit on his part. Guest guest
Hi! I'm sorry if these comments are repetative, I see that there are a gazillion responses to this and I'm afraid I haven't read them all. I was APPALLED at this lame-brained dentists comments though. Has he heard of the disease called flourosis? Caused by FLOURIDE? Certinaly clorox would whiten and clean teeth, would he brush his teeth with that? How about telling the kids NOT TO EAT JUNK. That might reduce cavities no? Oh, no, it's a much better idea to poison them. Ooooh it just makes me so angry! I just told my husband and he's busy already looking calling up all sorts of articles about the toxicity of flouride! Okay, I vented! :0) Laurette > > I posted in the community's board about my concern about the forced > fluoridation of New Jersey's waters: > -------------------------------------- > Let's be informed about fluoride > > in our waters They want to fluoridate our waters in New Jersey.
