Guest guest
http://www.vaccinationdebate.com/web7.html HEALTH - THE ONLY IMMUNITY Ian Sinclair A word of warning. What you are about to read is very ideal, but then if direction is what you seek, then knowledge of the ideal becomes essential. If a child develops measles, chicken pox, whooping cough, mumps, rubella or any of the other common childhood infections, it is not because of germs, but because of the accumulated toxic waste within its body, a condition known as Toxaemia. It therefore stands to reason that the prevention of childhood infection is only possible by preventing the development of toxaemia, or in other words, by preserving or restoring the PHYSIOLOGICAL HEALTH of the body. Physiological health is a bodily state in which all of the inner organs and cells are working at full capacity and where there are no genetic or hereditary defects. It is a state in which the musculoskeletal system is in correct balance and alignment, a state in which there is correct nutritional status and blood alkalinity, and a state in which the cells and tissues are free from accumulated waste products. On a physical level, this is what true health is all about, and when a child's body is in this condition, then no matter how many germs it is exposed to, it cannot and will not get sick! The reason being is that the child's body does not carry the accumulated toxic wastes that would allow the germs to thrive and flourish, and out of which infection arises. Not only will the child be immune to all infections, but when the child's body is in this condition, it will experience maximum vitality which is essential if the child is ever to fulfil its true potential. It is therefore necessary for parents to be aware of those measures which preserve or restore the physiological health of the body. Those measures include; exclusive breastmilk in the infant, and after transition,a diet in which at least 80% consists of fresh fruit and salad vegetables (preferably organic), the drinking of pure unfluoridated water, daily exposure to sun and fresh air, correct breathing habits, physical activities which promote strength and fitness, sufficient rest and sleep, and above all else, a state of of happiness - cause if you aint happy, you aint healthy! Needless to say, this is easier said than done but then if optimum health is one's goal, then one must know the path. Parents should also realise that if there is sickness in a child, regardless of its type or nature, the adoption of these measures can greatly improve the child's quality of health. With regard to conditions like asthma, allergies, eczema, hyperactivity, recurrent infections, attention deficit disorder and many of the other common childhood illnesses, then the adoption of these measures can lead to complete recovery. Now I have no doubt that some parents will be a little disheartened with this philosophy for they know that they are not yet ready to impose these disciplines upon themselves or their children. Such parents should keep in mind that if their child does develop measles, chicken pox or any of the others, then it is not something to fear but something to welcome for it is a sign that their child's vitality is strong and that its body is simply engaged in some internal cleansing. Similar words come from Dr Mendelsohn, a Professor of Paediatrics, who writes in his book 'How To Raise A Healthy Child In Spite Of Your Doctor', " If your child contracts an infection, the fever that accompanies it is a blessing and not a curse……A rising body temperature simply indicates that the process of healing is sped up. It is something to rejoice over, not to fear. " On the other hand, for those parents who are not comfortable with this concept of disease, or who simply don't want their children getting sick at all, then such parents must do the best they can to embrace this philosophy of health in their own lives and that of their children, for in my opinion, this is the only way that parents can ensure true health in their children and subsequent protection from childhood infection and other diseases. Guest guest
I'm afraid that with this definition of *health* I will never know a healthy person. It's an interesting philosophy though... Who or what is this author? Homoeopath, naturopath....? Out of curiosity, do you agree with this, Sheri? Guest guest
I read his book (can't remember the title now) when my first child was born, I had already decided not to vaccinate but I found reading his book very enlightening and made me feel confident with my decision. I'm sure he is talking about the " ideal " for health, but as he says: " Needless to say, this is easier said than done but then if > > optimum health is one's goal, then one must know the path. Guest guest
Hi Sue, I know your question was directed at Sheri, but I wanted to respond. I personally agree with this definition, and pretty much follow the guidelines set out in this article. All I know is, that by doing this, my 5 year old daughter just doesn't get sick. And I must say that I manage to avoid most illnesses myself. My daughters diet consists of a lot of fruit, much of it home grown. She is not overly keen on vegetables, but prefers them raw if at all. The last illness we were exposed to was a nasty gastroenteritis type bug. My friend who is a body builder and supposedly healthy, imposed himself on us for the duration of his illness. He said that he thought he was going to die (which was rather comical coming from this macho type male). Anyway, the result of this friends visit was my partner becoming sick and bedridden for 3 days. I got a touch of the symptoms, but the tiredness was the worst of it. And best of all, my daughter wasn't even affected. Now I know this is by no means proof of anything, but I feel I am on the right track. My partner is immunocompromised due to pain medication and anti inflamatories etc. I am becoming healthier myself but still have a way to go, with mercury fillings etc compromising my health. But my daughter has been given the ideal start to living a happy healthy life. And I also agree that happiness is an important factor. The only thing I feel I need to do now is to cleanse my home and body of the chemical products I use and have been exposed to. I have always kept these to a minimum, but want to eradicate them alltogether. We have just had my partners son staying with us for the past week or so. His mother is obsessive about cleanliness and spends a fortune on cleansers etc to keep her home sterile. He arrived here with a cough that he had suffered for what he said was a long time. The next day it was completely gone, and didn't appear once throughout his stay. I could confidently lay money on the fact that this cough will come back when he gets home, and his mother with medicate him for it. At the end of the day Sue, you are right. You may never know a healthy person. People may even seem healthy on a physical level, but mental health has to be taken into account too. I am hoping my daughter gets the chance to become a truly healthy person. Who knows, she may already be one. Guest guest
Hi , I think many of the recommendations in this article, such as plenty of love, fresh air, exercise, sleep, etc., are very good and I'd wholeheartedly support them. Providing a diet that is *80%* fruit and veg seems a little OTT and top-heavy to me - but I'd respect others' decision to follow it. The paragraph I questioned was: " Physiological health is a bodily state in which all of the inner organs and cells are working at full capacity and where there are no genetic or hereditary defects. It is a state in which the musculoskeletal system is in correct balance and alignment, a state in which there is correct nutritional status and blood alkalinity, and a state in which the cells and tissues are free from accumulated waste products. " I'm afraid that in my book this state simply isn't going to happen - it's Utopia. There are always going to be things inherited from our parents, probably genetic kinks if not defects, and while I accept the possibility of the musculoskeletal system being in balance and nutrition being *good*, we live in a world in which we can never get away from toxins which pile up in our bodies. As you rightly say, you do the best you can. I eliminate as many chemicals from our home as possible, we use homoeopathy always, we eat organic wherever we can, we drink reverse osmosed water and avoid fluoride, and we don't do allopathic meds or vaccines. But it isn't perfect and never could be. However, I regard my dd as being among the healthiest of her classmates and her immune system is getting stronger in leaps and bounds. So something must be working!!! ) Thanks for your feedback. Love, light and peace, Sue " It is not unfair to conclude that medicine is the only branch of science that has based its structure on opinions and suppositions rather than on laws and principles.
