JEREMY

A few months ago, I received an email from a young lady named a, who

was writing me about her husband, . `s highest weight was 800

pounds. In November of 2004, decided to have the gastric bypass

surgery. Even though he lost a great deal of weight with the surgery,

ended up having many physical problems. Since the surgery, has been

living in an acute nursing home in Canton, Ohio.

I remember calling for the first time on my radio show. He has gotten

down to 390 pounds, and he was very excited about that, but he was having so

much pain, and my heart really went out to him. I told him he was a very

brave man and that I wanted him to hang in there and try his best to stay

positive and patient.

After I spoke with , I spent some time talking to `s wife,

a. What a saint she is! a is there every day to be with

and help him in any way she can. I called again in December and last

week, and to tell you the truth, I was very worried about him because he`s

not doing very well.

On the phone, told me he would really like to meet me, and I decided

to make that happen. I called my friends at " Entertainment Tonight. " They

offered to fly me in so I could meet this 21-year-old man. I got into

Cleveland and drove an hour and a half to Canton, Ohio. I first met the

entire staff of the nursing home. I then slowly made my way to `s

room, which he has lived in for 10 months. I danced my way into the room,

and let`s just say and a were quite speechless!

We got to talk a couple of hours, and that`s when they told me that

was leaving the nursing home and moving back home so his wife and family

could take care of him. ET and I surprised them with music, flowers,

candles, and a healthy dinner and a pamper basket for a to enjoy. I

promised the family that I was going to help stay motivated to get

the rest of the weight off and start to really live again.

Please keep this sweet man in your prayers. Thank you.

Love,
