Guest guest
> Down 4.2 pounds for the year so far. No not much but a start for me. That's 2 pounds a week - what more could you hope for? >Look like thurs and Fri maybe warm enough to go walking. If it wasn't for this torrential rain and 60 mph winds today would be a great day - it was 57 degrees when I woke up at 5am. I'll have to stick to the treadmill for today, but if it stays nice the rest of the week, I might hit the park again and get my walking in there. I so miss being outdoors! Guest guest
4.2 pounds! That is great! I think I need a better scale frankly. This one is about 5 years old and has seen better days. My year is off to a bumpy start, but I am getting there. Gotta get back into the groove. When I started this journey in Nov. 2004 I was at home all day on disability. I had time to chop veggies and exercise... AND lose 50 pounds! Now that I am back to work. It is not so easy and I get tired faster. BUT it is getting better. Just gotta get my 'schedule' worked out! I don’t think I could do what I am doing if I had to work. I am on disability because of my mental illness. I am doing pretty good with it right now, but some times it just overcomes me and I can't do anything. I would love to go back to work some day, but I am hoping that when that day comes that I will be down to a healthy size. For now I see my job as losing weight 340/305.2/
Guest guest
For now I see my job as losing weight That was exactly how I felt. I set my goal at 50 pounds before the school year started....I am a teacher and I wanted to put my name on the substitute list. We so need me to work. I achieved it and I quit! I didn't reset my goal, and so I stopped "dieting" and I have gained 10 pounds back. What a dummy! BUT...the good news is...I am back on track and I feel good. I have a very very supportive co-worker and dh told me last night that he is feeling really fat lately...he has gained back 20 pounds. So...We are headed to the gym Jan 31 and signing up. :-) I am soooo excited! I think you are doing great and we will encourage each other all the way! Terasee Terassee That is great that you are back on track and feel good. Good luck at the gym on Jan 31. I have a little gym here. Just an exercise room in apartment complex. It has a exercise bike, treadmill, and other exercise thing that you sit down on and pump with your legs (I don’t know what it is called). There are weights there too, and it is free for anyone who lives in the apartments to use. The only problem is it is only open when the office is open. It shares the same building. I think it is great for me. So far it has only been me and my hubby in there. So I am less self-conscious then if I went to a regular gym and there were lots of people. Plus being on disability we can't afford to go to a regular gym. So it works out alright and it is also nice to have the walking track just across the street from where we live. I really do want to be encouraging to you and the others. Some times I get really nervous and think what I am saying is probably going to sound really stupid, but I am trying to overcome that. I do want to encourage you all as much as I can, because you all sure do encourage me, and I thank you for it.
Guest guest
That machine that you sit on and pump with your legs is that a healthrider. Do you kinda see-saw? You pull with your arms and push with your legs. I love those things. We just sold one because we didn't have the space for it in two room apartment. We have room for the exercise bike and I found a corner for the 'ball' but other than that there is very little floor space. But there is enough room in the living room for dh and I to stand side by side and do Sansone walk videos. So that is all the room we need. =0) T. <memyselves@...> wrote: BUT...the good news is...I am back on track and I feel good.
